Has anyone else noticed how the verses of 'Changing' sound like the verses of 'Wrecking Ball'?
42. Steal my girl

Good god already... with an X Factor performance, its #1 in the bag that week, got #1 written all over it :( it really can't miss

These next 2 months are going to very competitive for number 1 with One Direction,Olly Murs,Avicci and possibly Rihanna,Take That (when is Emeli Sande releasing?)and others??? releasing first singles from their new albums, along with new singles from Taylor Swift and Rita Ora etc

Avicii has a new single coming out? :o

It's possible they could miss #1, it's happened a few times before.

Correct. Wasn't Live While We're Young meant to smash at the top what with it being their lead single of era 2? To a lesser extent rewind back to when Best Song Ever was premiered & I'm sure people we're thinking the same but in fairness it came up against Wake Me Up...

Paolo is still A listed on radio 1 so it should maintain its itunes position this week but will need to go top 20 to be top 40 on Sunday, either that or hope its streams increase alot. Im still hoping theres a TV performance somewhere along the line - Jools is back this week and Alan Carr was back last friday - im sure Graham & Wossy will come back soon too.

Hope Hozier will rise into the top 40 this week - it was close last week and this live lounge will help along with the fact hes started from a higher bas this week (at No40 on Sunday) but his streams are still average around No50-70!

And Gotta Be You back in 2011, I think it *only* got to #3 (which some people at the time thought signalled the end of their career!).

Professor Green is performing on Alan Carr (Friday)

With Alt-J, Banks :cheer: Ryan Adams, Jungle plus others performing on Jools Holland (Tues/Friday)

People, it's a One Direction pre-order, you'd have to be a bit out of touch to not expect it to initially appear really high as soon as it's available! I wouldn't say it spells a certain number 1, none of their lead singles have got there since '...Beautiful'.

I'm also tempted to buy Fix You again myself after hearing it butchered on XF last night...

I expected the One Direction pre-order to do a bit better actually. I know it's still early but 5 Seconds of Summer got to just outside the top 10 very quickly after the pre-order was put up with 'She Looks So Perfect' whereas this is only just inside the top 40 at the moment.

Had people heard SLSP though? I find it odd that a single would get any pre-orders at all without people having heard it!

No it hadn't premiered at the time, it was all fanbase pre-orders. :o

which makes 1d look a bit bad now

Oh gosh, I just realised that pushes Charli XCX down another place if they're releasing on that date. :(

She'll hopefully smash anyway. Boom Clap feels like just as much of a hit as Crazy Stupid Love which went to number 1 while she was at 6 in the initial week.

I pre-order "Blame" by Calvin Harris without having heard it. Guess you just know you'll like the music released from some artists regardless. I've only done it this one time though.
