Great episode the queen is back, quite funny in places. And those end credits were on the large side, and paid respects to the characters that passed away.

I love Emma :(

Jane can stfu, you pissed off and left the family for months so don't pretend now you're randomly engaged to Ian that you're matriach of the year. Idk but I reckon it might have been her as a random one who killed Lucy. My money's on her or Abi anyway.

Kim was brilliant. I would've loved to see her slap Ian and Jane though.

I'm thinking Jane or Denise too. Just trying to figure out what came to Emma but it was definitely something in that confrontation from Kim.

EE has been on such good form this last year that it took me until her return for me to realise how much I've missed Kim. Cannot wait for a scene of her in labour.

I don't watch this very often but I thought it was showing tonight that a house on the opposite side of the square looked like another one that was part of the investigation? Thus implying that maybe they had the wrong house in mind?

Absolutely no idea whose house it was instead though!

The "5 minutes" comment from Dean - possibly to do with Max and Abi's 'only gone for 5 minutes' and something to do with the Lauren video and positioning of the houses.

I think Jane is lying to back up Lauren, and Emma just realised because you can't see the Beales from the Masoods house?

Somebody posted a good theory on DS that

it was jane, perhaps accidentally after an argument with Lucy, and she feels she has to back up Lauren as she doesn't want somebody else being wrongly implicated

. I think that's plausible, but I definitely think it was the "5 minutes" link that triggered it for Emma.

I need to watch that episode again now  its got me thinking

I'm sure when it's finally all revealed we'll be kicking ourselves for not figuring it out.

Definitely! I'm liking the theory that it's Jane - I'm backtracking and things she's done this past year seem to support it.

Are we sure

Emma is going to die on New Year's Day

? I'm starting to have second thoughts that it might be someone else.

I think it will definitely be

I think that someone else dies, and she blames herself for poking around maybe? Plus there's a bit of hype to it and perhaps they're having a shock exit, it'd be a bit of an anticlimax if it was just her, especially with everyone turning against her now she's piecing together the murder. It just seems all too obvious, a bit like Abi being the murderer (which is why I'm really leaning towards Jane now if anything). I think maybe she got the wrong person, somebody dies as a result of that and she blames herself then leaves it well alone, after finding something that means the killer couldn't really who she thought it was?
