530. 6 Words - Wretch 32 (pre-order)

Guessing the bump is due to the video being released today? Needs to smash, what an inspiring song  Couldn't happen to a nicer guy as well.

85. Ella Henderson - Missed

Still as gorgeous as when she first sang it in her first audition 2 years ago

Also good to see songs like Hard Work & Mirrow Man being cherry picked! Stunning album.

It's also worth remembering that Story of My Life debuted at #4 before eventually peaking at #2 and having some longevity.

Indeed, it fell as far down as #10 before reaching its #2 peak two weeks later. 'Steal My Girl' definitely shouldn't be written off just yet.

 08. Guts Over Fear (feat. Sia) - Eminem

On paper this should have been a mega hit. It's so nothingy, though :(

 04. Don't Tell 'Em (feat. YG) - Jeremih

 05. Bang Bang - Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj

Thinking Out Louds top version could move into the iTunes top 3 this week, it's doing great. Need some airplay now!

Taylor has posted a special Tumblr message for her UK fans saying that 'Out of the Woods' isn't available for us yet due to "a new strategy" her record label are working on for the UK. She says it is the same strategy as her good friend Ed Sheeran used for 'One' but that she will be watching closely to make sure our experience is just as good and she will do something about it if it isn't.

I'm not totally sure what she's referring to, but with the reference to 'One' all I can think of is that her label wants 'Out of the Woods' to be the first instant grat (and therefore be eligible to chart), so could the plan be to wait until Sunday, remove 'Shake It Off' as an instant grat (and put it up as a standalone single) and then make 'Out of the Woods' the only instant grat from the album? That's all I can think of if they want to use the same strategy as Ed did with 'One'.

(I've posted the full message over in the '1989' topic in the Pop forum if you want to read it in full!)

Thanks Ryan for this

That had a totally different release strategy though, plus it was much better received.

I think at best it'll do a 'Live While We're Young', mind you when that debuted I claimed their star was fading, so they overall shouldn't be written off.

Charli XCX slowly creeping up, currently sitting at #22 (still 21 places too low though). Don't understand how, it sounds massive to my ears and should be contending for #1. :(
The Charli XCX song is a bit naff imo makes me cringe a bit

Thanks for this - maybe she will just make this officially the second single?!

No problem!

I guess it's a possibility she could do a 'Do What U Want' and release it as the second single everywhere after it's incredibly positive reaction so far but judging by the tweet below that she posted a few days ago, I think she must already have a single in mind. I believe a music video has already been filmed as well but I'm not completely sure.

To clarify, what is coming in the next few days is a new song that I think best represents #1989. It is NOT my next single. #ShakeItOff

Very smart of Charli XCX label to reduce 'Break The Rules' to 59p, it should help it go top 25 this week!

Yeah Charli XCX song is a bit naff, and is not very 'her', either way it's a lot better than many songs above it. It's a shame airplay has been so bad for it, while Capital and Kiss continuously play Boom Clap. I hope she can creep into the iTunes top 20 this week though.

Anaconda is still getting pretty much no airplay, despite going in at 3 (2 on sales), rising on streaming and still being top ten on iTunes.

10 Slipknot AOV

I think Professor Green's next single is the one featuring Mr Probz? So even if this song does nothing Mr Probz has a fairly decent chance of another top 40 hit at least (as Pro Green has a pretty good track record of post-album top 40 hits).

Yeah, although Professor Green discounts post-album singles a lot! I think all three of the post-album singles last time got discounted, and from the one before that I think Jungle got discounted.

Mr. Probz is also on 50 Cent's album, and I think the song might have got top 200 on iTunes.

Was Monster pre or post first album? Think that may have been discounted too. Don't think Never Be a Right Time or Avalon would have gone top 40 without a discount!

What exactly is so funny about that?

Is it funny because there's no "(feat. Rihanna) (Remix feat. Nicki Minaj) (Re-remix feat. Jay-Z & Iggy Azalea)"? :(
