Tinashe's album deserved much better but I feel this isn't the end for that yet, it has a chance to pick up in the future as her profile builds. I was hoping Kylie would at least get another week with the tour ongoing, but knew it was unlikely.

She just has quite a lot of fans on here. I doubt anyone realistically expected the album to do anything after '2 On' failed to even go top 100 (somehow).
October 12, 201411 yr Author Quite interesting that Alex Clare's 'War Rages On' has entered the singles chart two months after the album release... at the same position that the album charted. A very top 100 scrapey era for him.
October 12, 201411 yr One interesting thing to note is how MKTO - Classic is ahead of Will.U.Stop's 'It's My Birthday', in the same week the former peaked at #24 and the latter at #1!

Due to DAMN STREAMING!!1! MKTO aren't even top 100 on sales, while will.i.am is still #67 there. Moral victory.
October 13, 201411 yr Just out of curiosity, how long before people stop complaining about streaming being part of the charts and bringing up where things would have charted if streaming wasn't factored in? Maybe it's because I'm from the US where they are constantly rejiggering the Billboard chart methodology and the Hot 100 was never based solely on sales, but it doesn't seem like that big of a deal to me, at least not one where there should still be this much bemoaning of it several months later. Isn't it time to just suck it up and accept the charts as they are, and not how you would rather they be?

IIRC it took absolutely ages before people stopped complaining about downloads being in the chart so it may be some time before streaming is 'accepted'.
October 13, 201411 yr in my case, never, cos streaming isnt sales, it's more like background radio, supported by the ongoing blandness and dullness of it. Ive been criticising the american singles charts for decades for the same reason: more radiostation/record company sales-tools than a reflection of what people feel motivated enough about to buy. The albums charts are real, though.
