if it does actually chart officially though surely R1 won't play it cos BBC have to be politically neutral?

Having taken a listen of about 30 seconds to that... thing (and believe me, that's all you need), I can conclude it:

a) is deluded

b) has no musical merit whatsoever. Seriously it's painful.

This might be a new low for the UK iTunes buying public, and that's before you even get to my political opposition to it. :(

Painful is the right description

I couldn't even manage 30 seconds.

Ukip have a song scaling the charts? And people are buying it?

And there is a thread topic about it :( To be honest I don't even find it chart related, it seems odd.

I see why Taylor Swift put off the release of Out of the Woods because her new proper single is Welcome to New York and that willbe the first instant grat from the album so it will chart?

'Shake It Off' is the first instant grat.

 16. The Independents- UKIP Calypso

Why did DJ Mike Read get involved in this?

Alex Clare - War Rages On  26

Did anyone find ou why this has risen so much?

'Shake It Off' is the first instant grat.

It wouldn't surprise me if she changed 'Shake It Off' not being an instant grat, Eminem managed to do it for 'The Monster'.

06. Fuse Feat Angel - T.I.N.A [Get that top 10 single Fuse!]

15. Ariana Grande Feat Zedd - Break Free [i'm really hoping this makes the 59p batch tonight]

16. The Independants - UKIP Calypso [Ew]

26. Alex Clare - War Rages On

60. Rymez Feat James Arthur - Kryptonite

135. Nicole Scherzinger - On The Rocks

Why is 'What Now' in the charts???

('War Rages On' is the theme tune to some TV show called 'Our Girl'. No idea what that actually is but it is apparently popular if it's having this much effect)

Is there any proper big hits on the horizon? I can't believe all the pre-orders are so low, looks like the chart is going to be very stale for a good while.
lol at Alex Clare not being able to get a top 40 smash without featuring on someone's song or being used on TV

Go Fuse!! Hope he somehow gets another top 10, the song is so catchy :D Would be nice for Tieks and Bondax to do well, but its looking unlikely.

Pre-orders do look low I agree, the only releases on the list I'm looking forward to are Kendrick Lamar, Wretch 32 and Tchami (which is in January anyway!).

The charts don't really influence my music taste anyway thankfully, be nice for some fresh entries not to drop out so quickly (e.g. Usher, Ella Eyre etc).

Yes. "Thinking Out Loud" by Ed Sheeran - it could be #1 within a fortnight. Plus Cheryl Cole has her latest non-#1 out in a few weeks for us to "enjoy".
