Jake is just so boring. Was he a runner up in XF or what? This is the first I've ever heard of him - and although I don't watch XF - from papers, (and her) etc - I usually know who the last three are in a show.

12th in the series that concludes in a couple of weeks!:/ From XF, he seemed a nice guy but nothing amazing. He only got eliminated a month or so ago so they must have snapped him up at the last minute but I can't see why he grabbed the producers' attention so much... he has a bit of an online fanbase and presents on Chart Show TV (one of the Sky music channels at least) but that's about it.

Cheers. He really is a bit pervy though. Can't he see that Nadia isn't interested in him at all. He should go all out for Kendra - she seems to think he's the dog's bollocks.

I don't think Jake is daft, he is in there to play a bit of a role. There was no chance of any romance or even flirting till he went in and I'm sure he has been briefed on a few things before going in. Plus it isn't going to hurt his profile is it and some money for doing it.

Absolutely true, he's playing a role. His team will know he will get airtime if he flirts, and it's obvious he fancies Nadia (sure most lads do, I certainly do). Thing is she's not playing along at all unlike Amy/Joey last year. I'll admit it's slightly uncomfortable to watch as the producers just seem to throwing Jake at us.

First time watching this show and Ant & Dec are SO terrible already. So embarrassed for them.

Just watching tonight because i was doing work until about 20 minutes ago and didn't bother to turn over, Mel is making me want to keep watching. What a woman *.*

Jake was really good in the trial. I think if he calms down the flirting and showing off he could be the male 'Mel' this year as he is funny at times and likable.

 

Tbh no one this year annoys me, Tinchy is a bit pointless and Michael is a bit stroppy, I liked Mel telling him to stop telling her to shut up he isn't her father.

I really hope Mel wins, I don't mind Jimmy but no one else really looks like an obvious winner especially after Craig left I really thought he would win

I'm finding Jake very likeable and he did incredibly well in that trial - some stations were tricky without the added extras! As long as the flirting doesn't go overboard then I think he's a massive contender for the win and deservedly so.

Jake just comes across as 'try-hardedly' likeable to me. He knows what he's doing to try and win and make the show about him.

Jake is the only reason why I watch, so I'm glad it's the Jake show.

Edwina shouting "Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel" was just... I don't even know how to describe what I felt when she did that :lol: The bitch fight was interesting too. I always thought Kendra was the most entertaining.

Thought Kendra went a bit OTT. I mean I'm not majorly fond of Edwina but she only gave her opinion on a conversation that was pretty public.

Although I thought Kendra went a tad OTT and was way too emotional ... Eggwina did more than express and opinion. I found her quite passive-aggressive - she knew what she said and the way she said it would get the response it got (from Kendra). Eggwina is a supreme manipulator and her ploy worked.

 

I wish Kendra had decked Eggie and had done with it.
