November 8, 201410 yr Paul has done a decent job with that vocally but it is such an ingrained song with everyone knowing the original. Hope he has done enough as vocally he never messes up.
November 8, 201410 yr Author Paul sang that well but I was never gonna enjoy it much, it's such a f***ing irritating song. 06.5 Paul Akister
November 8, 201410 yr I think Paul's got a good voice, I just think he's a bit awkward when he's on the stage. 6.0 Paul
November 8, 201410 yr Paul Aikster - They quite clearly want him out don't they? Death slot after all the negative comments last week. I think vocally he was great there, just the arrangement of the backing track killed it. - 7.5/10.0
November 8, 201410 yr That was a bit like last week's Paul performance for me personally. It was a ridiculous song choice (as well as a ridiculous arrangement tbf) but he pulled it off. Not as well as last week but I liked it enough. Actual lol at Simon of all people calling Paul a dementor - has he ever seen Jay perform?! 01 Paul Akister - Don't Stop Me Now 7/10
November 8, 201410 yr Paul has such a pleasing voice and tone, it is so smooth. He really needs a sexy song to show it off with.
November 8, 201410 yr Paul has such a pleasing voice and tone, it is so smooth. He really needs a sexy song to show it off with. Exactly! He needs to do something like either Let's Get It On (again, he did it for his arena audition) or maybe Usher's Climax.
November 8, 201410 yr I think it is pretty obvious now Mel has zero say in what her boys sing. She obviously wants them to do well but for some reason the producers don't want them to do well. It will be interesting to see the first week poll results, Mel's boys might have all been top 10 and they probably decided that was too much.
November 8, 201410 yr Not surprised Jay has got the 2nd slot, of Simon's overs he is the expendable one. Song preview on itunes sounds awful too.
November 8, 201410 yr Exactly! He needs to do something like either Let's Get It On (again, he did it for his arena audition) or maybe Usher's Climax. YES! That would suit him so well. He has technically the best voice imo, but of course people are going to vote for Jay James in their droves because he was in the army *sigh*
November 8, 201410 yr Oh dear this is bad, it is showing up his voice and the entrance was plain odd. The sore throat story might save him though. Lay into him please mel and cheryl.
November 8, 201410 yr Haha the blatant favouritism for Simon's acts with all these unorthodox performances. Not a very good vocal but understandable with the problems. Other than his horrific version of 500 Miles he's been pretty solid for me and far more interesting than Ben.
November 8, 201410 yr Ouch. That was awful, especially those last notes 1. Paul Akister 2/10 2. Jay James 0/10
November 8, 201410 yr I'm convinced Jay thinks he's on Surprise Surprise given he never shuts up about the bloody Navy! As for the performance, painful as usual. Nothing on Amelia's series defining perf in 2011, but nobody could do that the - least of all Jay. But I think all the sob story shoved into his VT will see him through... He's not much worse than usual tbf with this illness  01 Paul Akister - Don't Stop Me Now 7/10 02 Jay James - The Show Must Go On 0.5/10
