Its not his best I agree, but it sounds different and hardly dull :D

Different from what?

There's nothing different in that track in my opinion, very dull, and just copies artists like Wayne Wonder, Sean Paul, Shaggy, Kevin Lyttle etc. Even his own songs sound a lot similar.

It should be a feel-good song, but it turns out to be very irritating (to me) with the lyrics and his grating voice.

Antenna was good, nothing afterwards was bearable to me.

Different from other songs in the chart at the moment presumably. There isn't really anything else in the chart right now that sounds like 'T.I.N.A' (apart from maybe 'Drunk And Incapable' at a stretch).

'Steal My Girl' appears to have had another fairly large boost about an hour ago for some reason, it's now up to #4 and not that far off #2. Could be back in the top 5 this week.

Yeah well that's true, it still doesn't make it any better than the crap the chart is full of... of course this is my opinion :P

And it's no way a unique track.

Drunk and Incapable was a nice track though :)

Does anyone know if Popbars or Kworb is quicker to update than the other? Are they both always behind iTunes itself?

In my eyes, that's a great thing  I meant its different from what's in the charts atm and I can understand how Fuse could grate on people (these type of songs can be marmite-y).

I think 2014 has similarities with 2004 in a way. Back then the dominant sound was polished R&B type songs while this year, it has been house music, both complimented by plenty of ballads. People complained then the chart was stale and are doing so now, but there

will be a natural reaction to it.

I believe the data for LPB and Kworb comes from the same place so they should be in sync. And pop bar updates are less frequent than top 1,500 updates so the top 1,500 on LPB is more up to date than Kworb or LPB's actual pop bars, while it should be in sync with iTunes itself. If that makes sense.

Both have produced many gems but if its not your thing, the chart can seem boring (which right now it undeniably is). I'm sure things will upturn next year!

I have no problem with the type of music Fuse ODG makes, it's just his voice, and lyrics that makes me hate him :heehee:

Of course the more variety is on the charts the better.

Taking streaming into account, I should imagine the official chart might look something like this:

1. Ed

2. Tom Odell

3. Cheryl

4. Gareth Malone (really hard to tell what will happen with this)

5. Meghan Trainor

6. One Direction

7. Calvin & Ellie

8. Sam Smith - Like I Can

9. Taylor Swift

10. Sam Smith (INTOO)/The Veronicas/John Legend

It does look as though Jess and Lisa might *just* miss out unless they dramatically ramp up the pace, they're not going to be able to compete much on streaming in their first week. No doubt they'll be top ten on sales though, which will make it absolutely infuriating.

Maybe Taylor will fall out of top 10 without streaming? It's going to be tight for Veronicas isn't it? I think they can get past Calvin on iTunes and stay there. Whether they can go any further though..

Who are Jess and Lisa?

I'm not sure, she seems to have an uncanny knack for holding on, I reckon she's still a cert for the bottom of the top ten. But yeah, I've always had nightmares that You Ruin Me will debut at No.11 and its trajectory so far isn't making me think otherwise :(

Jess and Lisa are the first names of The Veronicas.

Interesting article in an Aussie newspaper today: http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/entertain...9c84836eb5b1281

It's soooo annoying having to take streams into account. I keep forgetting that just being top 10 on iTunes for most of the week isn't enough to make actual top 10.

I'm really excited to see how well The Veronicas do. #7 is probably now the absolute best case (but unlikely) scenario now - can't see them passing Meghan and One Direction. Calvin could be doable but still difficult. I think Like I Can won't be able to keep up the pace, Taylor will suffer from lack of streams, and INTOO and AOM are borderline. I'm going to predict a #9 entry. I just hope it's going to stick around and maybe climb at some point. Maybe it'll survive Christmas and hit big in January?

Just me who is surprised to see how well I Don't Care is still doing, I never thought it would climb back up to 2 and still having dark green updates.

Someone on atrl worked this out, its rather impressive imo. No doubt the fact she broke the record is helping it get publicity.
