Kiesza's out next week, it's safe to say this is going to properly bomb now isn't it? :(

don't get me started  every time I do these updates and I see hardly any progress being made, I get so irritated

I'm pretty sure James Arthur's lead topped out at pushing #2 down to ~0.09/0.10 so this is the biggest lead a song has ever had. It's against a big new release at #2 as well which makes it even more impressive.

I certainly recall James Arthur approaching 0.1 over the no.2. I've certainly never seen anything like this before.

It would really teach her if Blank Space peaked at #1 on sales and #2 on streaming.

Band Aid 30 slaying all competition is great to see :D

Now this is the proper use of the word 'slaying' :)

Hmmm... Something is telling me it'll probably do a Glow :(

I'd be delighted if it even did that well tbh.

Giant In The Heart was the Glow :P

I haven't taken to anything since Hideaway tbh but this sounds like it should be big, as did GIMH.

That would be a good result though

Out of interest...what was Helping Haiti's second week sales? It sold around 450k in week 1 if i remember. Interested to see how much of a drop there is after such a high profile charity song

20-Feb Everybody Hurts Helping Haiti 453,426

27-Feb Everybody Hurts Helping Haiti 102,769

So a drop of 77.3%

We could potentially be looking at three or four covers/remakes in a row, with 'Wake Me Up', Band Aid 30, and The X Factor's winning single.

Not to mention if 'Real Love' manages to get there on a quiet week and if Simon Cowell decides to release another X Factor Finalists single. :puke2:

I understand that all are for a good cause but for originality's sake I can't be the only one that hates this time of year for the charts. <_<

Well Glow was already top150 on pre-orders so nah :P

Still is song flopping

Nope I'm right with you on that one. Luckily there's still a lot of good songs released in this period and a decent turnover in the top 40 relative to earlier in the year but the number 1's themselves are usually dire and deny any exciting battles for the top spot.

I quite like Band Aid though so it's not too bad, but of course any of the other new entries to the top 10 would have been a preferable #1.

I still prefer No Enemiesz to Giant, despite what it probably will do in the chart

Thanks! Pretty massive drop

Helping Haiti is also not in the Top 100 singles of the decade, even though it sold 453,426 in its first week and is the 2nd fastest selling song of the 2010s.

I think it's 'only' sold around 630K despite that strong start.
