Band Aid is continuing to slow down. It might not stay no1 next week hopefully.

Are there any album sales from yesterday missing? I ask because yesterday's figures for albums are strangely and unusually low.

To answer my question, Jay has confirmed that there are missing sales from Sainsburys and Amazon.

8-10 staying static all week? Well unfortunately seems unlikely due to the weekend affect. :(

I considered Fireball a 35 ish single but looking at today's position it might even miss the top 40. Andy C is guaranteed, yes GUARANTEED to miss the top 40, but that's just how it works. It may probably be top 40 on sales though :D

Anyone else think B-Aid will miss 300k copies this week?

That's the #1 sorted for a few weeks now, the only competition will be the X Factors winners single on the 15th Dec.

Not necessarily. It sold 12k on Friday, and it is decreasing by the day. 12k per day would be 84k for a week, and These Days will be competition next week.

Worst chart run for a number one (12 weeks):

(Positions in brackets are for sales only chart)

X: Out of the top 100

SecondCity "I Wanna Feel"

1-3-9-13-22-40(30)-46(39)-60(45)-64(49)-63(54)-66(56)-82(68)-X(92)->

Here are other quick to drop out number ones:

Rixton "Me And My Broken Heart"

1(1)-8(5)-12(13)-20(18)-24(30)-35(44)-42(56)-50(64)-56(78)-63(87)-56(60)-60(86)-77(X)-87(X)-96(X)->

DVBBS & Borgeous feat. Tinie Tempah - Tsunami (Jump)

1-5-10-18-24-28-33-38-45-62-63-74-70-81-96->

However, on sales only, the worst chart run for a number one, with 11 weeks, is:

David Guetta feat. Sam Martin - Lovers On The Sun

1(1)-3(4)-7(8)-14(14)-15(16)-21(22)-31(32)-38(41)-45(49)-47(73)-47(93)-54(X)-62(X)

Does anyone know where Blame, Changing and Prayer In C are?

Blame was #26 on Wednesday. Since, I assume it passed Run (now #30), so #25.

Changing was #30 on Wednesday, Since I assume it passed Fireball (now #35) and (now #30), so #28. However, it probably also passed You Ruin Me (20 places+ fallers on week 2 don't go back up from Wednesday) and possibly Don't Tell 'Em. so #26.

Prayer In C is unknown at this point.

All About That Bass probably will get back in the top 10, due to the blank space Blank Space will leave, since it will descend due to the fact Taylor Swift pulled her entire catalogue from streaming sites, and subsequently her songs are disadvantaged, and it won't be in the top 10.

Well it did, 'You Ruin Me' is #27. :P

That's quite rare. But You Ruin Me deserves it. Anyway, I didn't get the answer of my question.

This is quite surprising! David Guetta managing fewer weeks in the sales top 100 than Secondcity :o 'Lovers On The Sun' doesn't really feel like one of the shortest lived #1s of the year.

At this rate we're eventually going to get:

  • Top 40 on sales but 101-200 on combined,
  • top 40 on combined but 101-200 on sales!

We're getting pretty close to this seeing Lovers On The Sun, Riptide and Money on my Mind being so high in one top 100 and nowhere in the other!

Well we have already had a top 40 combined that wasn't top 200 on sales (or indeed anywhere near top 200 as it had 0 sales). :P
