November 19, 201411 yr So 10 new entries by Sunday. Still pretty impressive to be fair :DIndeed! If anyone knows, when was the last time we had 10+ new entries in the top 40?
November 19, 201411 yr Those sales for Band Aid 30 don't look correct, unusual for there to be mistakes in the Wednesday update though  EDIT: actually doing the maths with the current Kworb numbers it could be right. Clean Bandit sold 8.5k yesterday, at 0.15 of Band Aid that puts Band Aid on 56k for the day (still a bit higher than what the update says but not massively higher). Interestingly Olly Murs is actually gaining on Clean Bandit though not enough to overtake at the current rate.
November 19, 201411 yr I'm not hugely surprised that the Band Aid sales have decreased. Such bad publicity, some of it I agree with. and Bob Geldof swearing and being generally rude on sky news has really put me off him.
November 19, 201411 yr I'm also not surprised its sales have decreased because it would be absolutely preposterous to expect it to sell another 200k yesterday... It is still selling extremely well, will do at least 400k for the week. There was clearly a massive push to get people to buy it on the first day (which actually included a couple of days of sales in reality as it did have the pre-orders added on). Nearly 50k second day is not bad.
November 19, 201411 yr Woah massive slow down for Band Aid 30, if those sales are complete, surely there must be some data missing?! :o
November 19, 201411 yr Apologies if this has been asked/answered but if an old version of Band Aid is purchased now, where does the money go? All Ebola or the others still to famine relief? I was wondering the same thing actually.
November 19, 201411 yr I'm pretty sure Band Aid's sales will be on more of a increase over the weekend. What I mean by increase is it sell a lot more than it's doing midweek. Edited November 19, 201411 yr by HonkyBonkington
November 19, 201411 yr Indeed! If anyone knows, when was the last time we had 10+ new entries in the top 40? Closest I can think of was WE 02/11 last year. 9 NE to the top 40 but 4 other NEs just missed the cut.
November 19, 201411 yr It's likely there has been another week since as this was quite a long time ago but a week that came to mind for lots of new entries was the week Ke$ha 'We R Who We R' came out, with 10 new entries: 1 Ke$ha - We R Who We R 5 Chase And Status feat. Liam Bailey - Blind Faith 10 Chris Brown - Yeah 3X 21 P!nk - Fuckin' Perfect 31 Beady Eye - The Roller 32 The Vaccines - Post Break-Up Sex 35 The Wombats - Jump Into The Fog 36 Adele - Someone Like You 37 Noah And The Whale - L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. 40 Tinie Tempah feat. Ellie Goulding - Wonderman Pity none of those last few went on to become big hits.

Ellie Goulding - Wonderman Pity none of those last few went on to become big hits. Life Goes On was actually a decent sized hit though, spent a long time in the top 40 37-30-32-38-39-31-19-20-{14}-23-24-33 Same with Wonderman 40-14-18-18-17-16-{12}-17-21-25-33-40 shame about that Adele record massively flopping though :( if only she was popular enough to perform on a big TV show, then maybe it would've had a big chart boost.
November 19, 201411 yr Records entering the charts and then... er, climbing??! FILTH. absolute filth.
November 19, 201411 yr Radio 1 site have Band Aid 20 at #1  with the old cover, now does that really help to buy the new version. I see they've changed it now (no doubt you noticed :P) Is the title meant to have a (2014) at the end similar to Waze & Odyssey's Bump & Grind 2014? Good news for me with TOL and Bass falling (no hate on Bass but my Chart Run predictions were a bit of a flop so it helps up my score :P) Also Real Odell didn't live up to my predicting expections (or really anyone else's) And a big thumbs up to All of John falling down, again no hate, it's just been here too long :) Am I able to ask where Prayer In C is? November 19, 201411 yr Author Apologies if this has been asked/answered but if an old version of Band Aid is purchased now, where does the money go? All Ebola or the others still to famine relief? I THINK proceeds still go to the original charity that previous Band Aids were set up for. I'm sure I read something that said that, but don't hold me to it.

November 19, 201411 yr Great chart that 1997 one! Funnily enough I saw a copy of the My Life Story single in a charity shop today. Didn't buy it though.
November 19, 201411 yr all the ones in the top 10, yep. They mentioned all the others because of time constraints :) Good an excuse as any not to play Noël Gallagher :(
November 19, 201411 yr Good an excuse as any not to play Noël Gallagher :( I'm sure they would have had there not been so many new releases. Do you really expect them to play 12 new songs in half an hour? Edited November 19, 201411 yr by HonkyBonkington
