This is still steadily climbing. She has promo tomorrow on Radio 1 Live Lounge as well as Alan Carr on Friday, so will hopefully manage top 20 on Sunday.

i'm hoping more for top 30, as streaming + the Now! effect will still shove it down a fair bit, still I'm glad it's making the top 40 at all!

Yes, just got it from ArianaGrandeVevo subscription :P

Good stuff hopefully spot it on mtv n the coming weeks!

There's no need for fans to be defensive. Yes TT can sing live but the performance last night wasn't. They've done it before. The Brits anyone? Maybe they had to concentrate on those dance moves

I don't particularly care so I won't say much about it, but it's actually quite funny how people can react to the very same situation.

Cheryl mimes to pre-recorded vocals while performing some actual choregraphy: the whole country goes crazy, Twitter burns her alive, and newspapers are making big headlines.

Take That mime to pre-recorded vocals so they can do a few funny moves: it's ok for everyone because they can sing anyway (and that's the reason why they mime surely right?) and because they are lovely lads.

Once again I'm not here to start a debate, but well, next time let's try not to be too harsh on Chezz (or actually on any female popstar, I feel like people are harsher on girls than they are on boys).

Having Olly Murs and Take That both in the top 3 make it an ace top 3 for me, Band Aid, i love the original and this new version as disappointing as it is, is for a very good cause, therefore i will say its a great top 3. Would love Take That to be number 1 but number 2 with good sales would also be wonderful.

The main difference i would think is Take That have more than proved they have fantastic vocal ability, Cheryl has yet to do that in her solo live performances.

Take That basically did the same thing as Cheryl. Mimed to a pre-recorded live vocal. It is a shame that Take That haven't been slaughtered for it online like Cheryl was but it's only really Cheryl who gets slack for it anyway out of the many popstars who have mimed. Oh well.

I can't even understand how this can be an excuse. They can sing live so they don't need to bother with singing live? That doesn't make sense, especially when there are 3 of them to back each other vocally.

As Joseph said, I don't say Take That should have been slaughtered, but Cheryl didn't deserve it either. They both did the exact same thing. Either it is acceptable for both, or it is acceptable for none.

Missed this post before posting my last one. I don't think this is the case. The public voted for Cheryl to be in Girls Aloud based on her vocal performances on Popstars: The Rivals 12 years ago :P I could link numerous good live vocals of Cheryl's here but I won't.

1300. Samantha Jade - Sweet Talk [Liam Dead]
Smash it Sammie! *.*

41 Ariana Grande Santa Tell Me

Last year's new top 40 Christmas hits.

244 Leona Lewis One More Sleep

1214 Kelly Clarkson Underneath the Tree

Kelly, FINALLY appearing
Why am I "dead" in particular over Samanrha Jade, I don't particularly care for the song :P She is fab though.

1) Why are people complaining about Cheryl miming. Would they really want to hear her sing live?

2) Isn't part of the problem that Cheryl claims she's singing live, which is why she ends up being attacked in the media.

Cheryl has never claimed to sing live :P Brian Friedman recently claimed she sang live during the I Don't Care X Factor performance but Cheryl didn't comment on it at all.

And she's a perfectly competant vocalist, as proven by several live vocals she's done.

Surely Cheryl gets more criticism because she, as a judge on the X Factor, passes judgement on other people's live vocals every week... :P Not saying I necessarily think this is a valid criticism but I've seen that argument many times.

In all fairness she'd get the same criticism whether she was an X Factor judge or not tbh!

Gary Barlow was the head judge for 3 years so this comment is 100% invalid. :kink:

She never mentions vocals - she talks about performance on the whole and "star power". It is silly that Take That don't get slated the way Cheryl, or women in general do, for miming. Not fair at all since Cheryl NEVER mimed when she performed with Girls Aloud, in a group, they performed twice on X Factor, and it was live. She did sound wobbly both times though.

But I also agree that she can't sing and hasn't got any range, where Take That do. :kink: They have no excuse to mime!

Because if she did, someone would quickly point out she can't sing herself

But to be fair, neither can Simon and Louis.

^ Simon and Louis aren't artists though and don't try to sell us their material/vocals. I will never understand this argument.

I think a reason for the difference in the response to Cheryl's and Take That's miming is because, at least on Buzzjack, there weren't people claiming Take That's performance was amazing/flawless/fierce/life-enhancing etc which would prompt others to inject a bit of sanity into discussion by pointing out that it was mimed. Also, 'These Days' seems to be more popular here than 'I Don't Care', which would obviously impact people's enjoyment of a performance. That said, I agree that Cheryl sometimes gets harshly criticised compared to others.

Realy the problem is more that other artists aren't criticised moreso than that Cheryl is. The equivalent to miming a live performance in pretty much any other profession would surely get someone fired very quickly :P
