James was a bit OTT (moreso than usual) but it still worked. The guy that sang before him (remind me of his name, Jay~) sounded beautiful though :o

As per usual Fleur was the star of the night for me. :wub: A excellent night for Andrea too - his performance of 'Hero' was particularly stunning. Across two devices I gave 9 votes to Fleur and 1 to Andrea. I'll be gutted if Fleur is bottom 2. :(

 

I hope the bottom 2 tonight is Lauren vs Stereo Kicks. Sorry to fans of Lauren, but I wouldn't mind at all if she went. Louis keeps calling her the "perfect little popstar" and I think she's far from that in many respects. Her voice is getting gradually worse and less special, and her stage presence is virtually zero. She's become disappointing.

Even I think Lauren is hardly "the perfect little popstar" and I love her :lol: I swear Louis would say even Susan Boyle was the perfect popstar if she entered The X Factor, he's really been on autopilot this series more than usual it seems.

Louis more than anyone else is in in the joke about it all now. The show is less about finding a viable popstar, none of this crop are likely to sell very well, probably Sam Bailey levels at most, and more about entertainment. He knows that spouting ridiculous nonsense that bears no relation to what just happened on stage is the easiest way he can get people talking/rile them up/laughing, whatever they want to be entertained.

That was actually a pretty great vocal performance !
