This section kicks the countdown off a bit more with 5 top 10 peakers and the first few songs to pass 100k. So starting off this section is the only song to earn 100% of its total from streaming- Meghan Trainor with Lips Are Movin. The song will be a massive hit for me in the new year and should be an easy #1. I used to love Say Something, especially after it featured in the trailer perfectly for the amazing If I Stay, but it is just pretty boring and bland to listen to now. It's probably X-Factor's fault for ramming it down our throats so much  There is no chart-run for Say Something as my charts didn't exist till 16th March. Band Aid 30 bombed here as well with DTKIC [Version 4]. I do quite like it but Band Aid needed a new song and the lyric changes were terrible. My favourite parts are by Ellie, Sinead, Seal and Bastille. One of the biggest songs of all time in Ultraviolenceland [top 10 all time with over 6 million total sales] and a 7 week 2007 number 1 is You Can't Stop The Beat from the movie Hairspray. This song is so superb, especially Amanda's part. La Roux's lead single Uptight Downtown was a bit of a bomb here considering In For The Kill + Bulletproof were both #1's and million sellers, I do like UD though. One more song to come from La Roux in this years countdown. And the last song to miss 100k was Kiesza with No Enemiesz which is really good but there was too much competition this month for it to breakout. Little Mix have had a pretty poor year this year after the massive success of million selling Move last year. Their Sport Relief single Word Up was widely expected to go top 2 here but missed that before plummeting straight out of the charts. It is a good cover though. Being a victim of my chart being a top 20 at the time was the great Neon Lights by Demi Lovato which shocked by going top 3 in June before falling straight out of the charts. Another song that would have had a similar fate if the chart was still a top 20 in August would have been one of Cameron's favourite artists- Jordin Sparks with I Wish We'd All Been Ready. The song had a big opening of 80k with massive buzz as it was Jordin's first single to make an impact here since the Battlefield era but it fell down the chart quickly. And the 2nd album track from Charli XCX appears with the incredibly catchy London Queen.
December 29, 201410 yr London Queen is good and Say Something is OK and I am slowly growing to Lips :kink: And of course the others you've already seen on my list :D

Fairytale Of New York- The Pogues 107,780 33-28-17-X Firstly my Fairytale Of New York cover sleeve won't work so if someone could please make me one that would be so helpful :) So this section is pretty much top 10 peaking songs that plummeted out of the chart or low peaking songs that held on for a few weeks; Starting us off is one of the best Christmas song of all time in Christmas classic Fairytale Of New York which got a few more weeks and sales in the chart this year. I used to really like thinking out loud but now I am on the verge of hating it as it is so overplayed and pretty boring, I am glad it didn't peak too well for me. Lily appears with the title track from her 3rd album and Iggy is also her with her lead single from her deluxe edition album bomb which also plummeted down the charts here. And Taylor is here again with very good album track How You Get The Girl. I used to love outside but as you can tell by the chart run, I got bored of it very very quickly. I hated Jamie T's last 2 albums so I was so surprised to absolutely adore zombie which spent a few weeks in my chart and passed 100k in sales. What A Feeling was Lauren's 2nd best performance on the live-shows and is her 3rd highest here, it reached a new peak of 15 after The Lauren Platt Collection was released. And Be My Forever has the honor of being the highest charting song to fall out of the top 40 after it fell from 4 to 41. I did really love the song but it not being on spotify meant I never really listened to it so it didn't get a chance to take off. Christina has 1 more entry but this is Ed's last song. ALBUM http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag281/ultraviolence3/d4bd59d9-07de-43a2-ae8f-f1c8ffecd002_zpsc7f14af5.png 38. Carry On The Grudge- Jamie T 216,790 10-2-5-5-5-X Like I said above, I was never ever ever expecting to like a Jamie T album as the first 2 were awful but this was a surprisingly great album. It peaked at #2 during the quiet sales weeks in October and did very well by spending 5 weeks in the top 10 and selling over 200k.

December 29, 201410 yr Idina's version of BICO is lovely, I felt all warm and fuzzy inside after her lovely performance on XF, it was so sweet and festive. She has a lovely voice too so I hope we see more of her in the pop world now. Thinking Out Loud is stunning too, not even sick of it yet like every one else. Feels timeless to me and I hope it goes down as a future classic. Deservedly massive I think. Sheezus is amazing too, I remember hearing it for the first time and enjoying it but thinking it was crazy. The lyrics are just where Lily shines and the song is appealing to the ears too, this era should've been much bigger for her...

Let It Go- Lauren Platt 129,160 15-11-35-X-X-X-X-39-X Well in this section we have songs that have sold about 10 copies to songs that have sold 2 million copies. One of the potential number 1's in this EOY countdown shows up with version 1 of 3- of course it is Let It Go, this version by Lauren Platt. This was a good performance by Lauren though I do think she should have done Idina's version and it was one of many unlucky #11 peaking songs for me this year. God Only Knows was the Children In Need song that looked to be a big hit that wasn't a hit. The next Taylor Swift single is supposedly unfortunately Style :drama: which while it is good, there are so many better potential singles from 1989. Anyway it has got an extra couple of weeks due to the single rumour. Another song that is rumoured to be a single but might not be is Breaking Up as it is already on sale, anyway it is another great Charli track but is suffering due to the Christmas market. Don't Save Me was the 1st hit and 1st of 4 million sellers for Haim and it still remains flawless in 2014. Jubel was one of those weird hits that hung around for 12 weeks despite never making the top 20 peaking at 21. This Is How We Do did better than Birthday here but it should never ever have been a single [Walking On Air + By The Grace Of God had to be singles]. You Learn To Live Without is a stunning song By Idina from the musical If/Then and it would have peaked higher if there weren't 4 new entries in the top 5 that week [idina with Let It Go being the other song in that top 5]. I did think it had bigger sales then 166k but oh well. Oh dear if Mmm Yeah nearly went to #1 as it was set to do at midweek judging by 2 weeks in the chart for its full run. I did love this [mostly cause I developed a crush on Austin :kink:] cause it was a good pop song and it still is. And number 111 is like marmite, you love it or hate it. Well anyway I love Happy again
December 29, 201410 yr Style  I'd say it's actually my favourite on 1989 atm, that or Welcome To New York.

Trouble With My Baby- Paloma Faith 169,290 5-14-31-33-38-34-40-X So this section mostly consists of songs that charted between January to Early March this year so they don't really have any chart runs. These include the first of a few Frozen songs [Fixer Upper], the stunning Torn by Natalia Imburglia and Seasons Of Love which reappears every single year for no random reason [it even reached #1 back in 2012]. also here is one of Lana's best song and the Christmas classic by Wizzard. This means there are 2 Christmas songs still to come in the top 100. Despite only spending 1 week at 4 [+ some sales from 4 weeks at #43 because of streaming], Echosmith make a huge entry with Cool Kids which Jsanta recommended to me. Another song I discovered through Jsanta's chart was Yellow Flicker Beat which impacted my chart after I saw the amazing Mockingjay and snuck a week in the top 10. Paloma Faith's 2nd of 6 entries come in the form of Trouble With My Baby which reached a top 5 peak back in August and did very well for a post album track. And finally Nelly will be delighted to see Foxes appear the first of 2 times with the stunning Glorious which is such a beautiful track with an anthemic last week. This followed the trend of Foxes tracks as every single 1 of them did not peak in their first week and this spent 2 weeks top 10 and 7 top 40. Coincidentally the top 100 is starting now and there is exactly 100 certified singles :o 100-91 will be up in about half an hour and that will be the last section for tonight. I will reply to comments tomorrow  Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Ultraviolence1989

Make My Day- Emma Stevens 207,150 3-8-16-28-38-X 100. House Of Cards- Janet Devlin 206,270 10-33-2-13-X So here we are at the top 100 stage and the last section for tonight :cheer: This is the section of crazy chart runs so lets start with the craziest chart run of the whole year- House Of Cards by Janet Devlin. The song was the first track I heard by Janet since X-Factor and it became a mini surprise hit by going top 10 before having a big fall the next week. Then the week after it suddenly climbed up to #2 with massive sales before falling heavily again the next week and then out of the charts. And I couldn't find it right now but I am also sure it re-entered for one random week a couple of months later. Another couple of chart-runs also rival House Of Cards bizarre run here- notably Bo$$, I Know Places, Marilyn and Let Me Down Gently. Bo$$ plummeted really embarrassingly so far due to old hits re-entering and Christmas songs, Marilyn having 2 runs because of BJSC and Let Me Down Gently becoming a shock number 1 before falling so so quickly. Well anyway at 99 was Emma Stevens followup to massive #1 Riptide with Make My Day, this debuted well before falling of quickly but sold well anyway. The first #1 to fall out comes courtesy of La Roux with Let Me Down Gently. I loved this track from first listen and as it was their long awaited comeback, this midweek release came and stopped The Common Linnets going to #1 by 2k in sales before it dived of a cliff in the next 2 weeks, falling out and then re-entering again. I loved Marilyn since like June and I thought it was going to be a big hit in the UK but it wasn't, however it's chart-run picked up for me in its 3rd week as it was finally added to spotify and it did quite well. Then I submitted it to BJSC which lead to a new peak of #12 here but unfortunately it missed the Final by 1 place and 2 points so it fell out of the chart again quickly :( . I have loved Bo$$ since July which is probably why it has bombed in my charts because it has finally got released in December, anyway it is an original and really good girlband song even though the title is horrible to spell. And kicking off the top 95 is a song that should be about 45 places- Hideaway by Kiesza. I absolutely adore this song and it is one of the best dance songs this year but it disappointed in my chart as I barely listened to it the week of release as it coincided with Lana's comeback single so I was only listening to Lana songs and Let It Go that week. At least it went silver. I used to love Real Love but I quickly got bored of it as the chart-run shows and gigantic hit Uptown Funk has had a good start here but I can see myself getting bored of it soon :( . And in 91 is the last of 2 Christmas songs in the form of the amazing One More Sleep which also received great success in its second year and is definitely one of my favourite ever Christmas songs. My highlight of this section would have to be I Know Places which has definitely turned into one of my highlights from 1989. I initially didn't really like the song and it was the only song to miss the top 40 from 1989 in opening week but in its 3rd week it made the top 40 and has now spent 7 weeks in the top 40. This week it reached a new peak of #16 and it will probably reach another new peak soon. It is so stunning and the chorus is just beautiful and amazing  Highlight Of This Section Taylor Swift- I Know Places I can't find the video on youtube so if anyone could provide an audio that I can put in this post, it would be much appreciated :) ALBUM http://i759.photobucket.com/albums/xx240/MarthaJonesFan/Cover%20Sleeves/LaRoux-TroubleinParadise.png 11. Trouble In Paradise- La Roux 798,490 1-3-5-4-4-4-4-7-6-4-4-6-X[x10]-7 Highlights: Let Me Down Gently, Uptight Downtown, Sexotheque, Kiss And Not Tell And despite the singles disappointing, La Roux's 2nd album was an absolutely gigantic success here and has sold more than the debut album which had 2 #1 million selling singles. Let Me Down Gently is my favourite track from the album and I love all of it, it is such a nice album to listen to. This was the album that knocked Ultraviolence of the top of the album chart and has spent 13 non consecutive weeks in the top 10 including 6 weeks at 4 :o It is a shame that this bombed in the official charts but at least quite a few members on here love this album [especially Haus] Edited December 30, 201410 yr by Ultraviolence1989

December 30, 201410 yr Great to see 'Uptown Funk' making a splash here for you already. I have missed it off my chart this year, so it will have to chart next year! LA ROUX <333333333 and a little shout out at the end of the album commentary YAY  I absolutely adore the album as you know, and Let Me Down Gently is a huge highlight for me too. I'm gutted it didn't get the official success like you said, but i'm glad it did impress the people that did listen to it. She has a lot more still to come in my own chart :kink:
December 30, 201410 yr Author Idina's version of BICO is lovely, I felt all warm and fuzzy inside after her lovely performance on XF, it was so sweet and festive. Thanks Jsanta  I wasn't sure about the X-Factor performance but I adore her voice and agree about hoping to see more of her in the pop world now  I hope it doesn't, I am so sick of it now :( The lyrics in Sheezus is great and the era deserved to be so much bigger :( ooh This Is How We Do so close in matching positions here :heehee: Wizzard  Cool Kids  Torn :o and I like Glorious too. Great section Ultra :) Thanks Rob for both comments  Hopefully we get something matching positions eventually :heehee: Glad to see you liked that section  Style  I'd say it's actually my favourite on 1989 atm, that or Welcome To New York. Thanks Liam  I like Style but do find it a bit overrated, on the deluxe edition for me only I Wish You Would, Clean, You Are In Love and This Love are probably weaker at this moment. I adore Welcome To New York though [which may be coming up very very soon] Don't Save Me <3 love that song, can hardly believe it's two years old already! but saying the first two Jamie T albums are awful, wash your mouth out :o 'Panic Prevention' is utterly fantastique Thanks SevenSeize  I adore Don't Save Me and I still don't know how it got that old I hated all the earlier Jamie T music stuff apart from Sticks + Stones I will comment on your EOY chart later :) 111. So something like don't save me gets counted because it sold well this year but something like We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together which spent 1 or 2 weeks top 40 does not get counted :) I adore Mmmm Yeah [probably mostly for the video] and I do like the lyrics as well :kink: This Is How We Do should have peaked a bit higher but I think birthday got as high as it deserved Don't Save Me is 2012 I believe but I still listen to it regularly so it still does well here  Always hope for next year with One More Sleep  Glad to see you liking loads of the songs  Great to see 'Uptown Funk' making a splash here for you already.
