Cmon Fleur is nothing compared to Alexandra. Alexandra is a different league vocally.
Yeah she is in a different league vocally. But this isn't just a "singing competition". If it was, we'd have seen her on The Voice or Pop Idol when that was around. This is about having EVERYTHING and although she doesn't have the biggest voice, she doesn't exactly have an awful voice. She has IT, whatever "it" is, she just has it and showed that tonight.

I have a feeling Bruno & Mark Ronson could very well now be Fleurs Celebrity Duet(s) considering how well this went down!
I think this is a possibility, it won't happen, but Simon said that someone showed him the song on Sunday (he's so behind on the times haha) and thanked them for doing so, so it wouldn't surprise me if he was on the phone right now trying to negotiate some deals or something!

I keep rewatching Fleur's performance! We often talk about a contestant having (or needing) a "moment" and this was truly a *moment*. :o Sensational. Hopefully that was enough of a boost for her to gain even more fans & have a serious chance of winning.
I'm hoping Lauren (The Weakest Link) goes tonight, those people will start voting for Fleur.
Fleur most definitely did have a MOMENT last night, I really hope she does it again next week because I do think it will be the thing that clinches it for her (assuming voting it as close as I imagine it is)

I just cant get past Fleur's weak vocals. Even on a song like uptown funk, which isn't exactly hard to sing, she is just straining so hard to get any note out.

Simon and the producers have decided she is the 'credible' winner this year, but they thought the same with James Arthur too.

WTF  there is nothing wrong with Fleur's vocals on Uptown Funk, were you watching the same TV channel as me

I think he took a wrong turn on the way to DS forum

Close your eyes and put her performance on youtube from last night and just listen to it. It really shows up her vocals when there isn't any other distractions.

And Louis said he'd never heard it at all.

Just where have they been - the song is currently #8 in US, #4 in Canada, #2 in Australia and charting in most European countries.

In fact the UK is well behind as usual as it isn't due for official release here until 12 January.

Fleur deserves to win X-Factor now - she's a complete entertainer - all Andrea can do is stand in one place singing ballads - a one trick pony.

He may have a good voice but is too predictable.

IMO Andrea to go this week.

To be honest I don't think anyone would have cared about her vocals, the audience just enjoyed the whole performance. She got a "standing ovation" :P

Well I'm not just anyone :P

I wont deny Fleur is a great performer but I could never see myself sat listening to her never going out of such a small range or giving vocals like she did for AIWFCIY on record.

I'd say 95% of the music I listen to never has visuals with it, so the vocals and emotion in a voice are hugely important.

Well out of the other 3 acts, they won't even have a chance having a music career, 12 months later they are flushed cough James Arthur cough. Fleur is just an all rounder and she has diversity and been pretty consistent week on week.

So stick that in your pipe and smoke it. :P

Fleur is the perfect winner because this is the X Factor, not The Voice. Don't get me wrong, I do like Andrea and Lauren but the other three are like The Voice contestants. This is primarily a singing contest and Fleur has a good voice anyway, maybe not as strong as some of the others but it's strong enough and she performs the hell out of pretty much every song she gets given. She is in another league to the other three as an all rounder.

You must not be a Ben fan then :kink:

There were actually some moments when i winced at her vocals (particularly when she went to sit on the chair on stage) but overall in the grand scheme of the performance it did not make a difference for me. She put on a show and then some. Each contestant has ~3 minutes to impress and she has continuously given the most value for money based on her 3 minute exposures.

So happy it's getting the recognition it deserves on iTunes too. Let's hope it transcends into a big win for her now. *bottom 2 with Lauren tonight, and the judges send her home*

I don't really want Fleur in the bottom 2, it could go to deadlock, if Mel decides to ditch Fleur, as she is her biggest threat to Andrea in the final, but I'm positive Lauren will be the weakest link.

But what does Leona do bar sing and she is the most successful act from X factor (I'm not counting 1D)? Same as Kelly Clarkson, what does she offer bar an amazing voice and songs that suit?

Honestly you don't even have to have the most amazing voice to be able to really emote, Rihanna shows this with Diamonds and Stay (though Rihanna is vocally better than Fleur).

I never get any emotion or connection with a song from Fleur and she nevers wows me vocally, those to me are the X factor of music.

James Arthur shot himself in the foot though with his quite frank split personality. Shame really as he was the sort of winner X Factor needed. Right now though Fleur is probably the only act that might have some longevity in her.

Despite all the Fleur hype, this is till up for grabs. If Ben makes the final I think he has a wider demographic of voters than Fleur. It feels like what they did with Olly where he would have shocking vocal performances but all that is talked about is "performance" and we know what happened after that year's show. Olly promoted to death. This feels similar. I think Fleur is ok but she is not what everyone is making her out to be. I can't be the only one who notices that the backing track is louder than she is. Not everyone will be fooled. I think its 50/50 between her and Ben IF they are the final 2 (providing Ben isn't given awful songs and an awful duet which is entirely possible to help her) She is sellable but cmon saying she is a good "singer" is a huge stretch (and yes I know you don't have to be a good singer to be successful etc)

I'm sorry but it's absolutely ridiculous to say she can't sing. That you don't like her voice, yes, but seriously? I mean as a rule I cannot stand Ben's voice but I think it's preposterous for me to say he can't sing.

Like everyone has said about 100 times, we all recognise that she doesn't have the voice of Whitney Houston but that isn't what is needed. Why should we have yet another boring winner with little potential in Ben or Andrea? I'll gladly eat my words if either are successful, but I don't see what Ben for example has got that Matt Cardle didn't have.

What does Fleur have that Alexandra doesn't have bar a bigger forehead and look where her career is?
