Katy Perry - This Is How We Do // This is How We Do (Grandtheft Remix) And we're off *.* Kick starting the top 100 is an artist that i have grown to appreciate so much more this year. I've always been a fan, but reconnecting with 'Teenage Dream' and growing to like 'PRISM' a whole lot more meant that even what some consider as a dud single, shot up in my affections. The Grandtheft remix gave the song a lot of energy but even without it, it was another fine release from Ms Perry. Following that, from very early January is 'Dirty Gold' a wonderfully deep and powerful ballad from this under appreciated Angel. The comparison of the subject in the song to the tainted gold in front of her is one of my favourite lyrical moments of the year <3 Neon Jungle who had a big year for me enter with their first of 3 entries here ('Louder' just missed out) and they do so with a raucous album track. Next up a song i discovered from BJSC, and another party anthem aided along with the hilariously spot on shout out to the MANBOOBs from 2NE1's latest album - it has to be heard to be believed. And finally a love it/hate it song that i couldn't help but jam to as time went on. Kiesza has yet to match the success or wonder of this (and insists on ruining her career through the use of misspellings :angry:), but even as a one hit wonder, what a hit to accomplish it with!

A series of blinding beauties, but never quite gets the recognition he deserves. With his recent output, i am extremely excited about the prospect of a full album from Wretch in 2015 and if this single is anything to go by, it will be quite the selection. ROJO teams up with every man and his dog next for the laid-back, midnight driving stomper. So good by name and nature. Tove's first appearance in the chart comes with her latest single, 'Talking Body' - not sure what is happening with her campaign now but the music is too good to be ignored so i hope she fixes it up and gives something, anything a proper push. Taken from the hugely anticipated 'Sheezus', Lily Allen delivered a mixed bag of an album. This single proved to be the highlight for me after i initially disliked it. Like a drug though, it continued to grow on me and remains one of my faves from her now. And the artist i dislike more than most next, even DeRulo managed to grow on me this year with the infectious, undeniable 'Wiggle'. I couldn't help but jig along to the saggy tones, forgive me. :blush:
