Kiesza  Hideaway and Giant In My Heart are two of the year's defining tunes, both feature v. high in my chart

Also loving the swag vibes from Manboob, great to see k-pop and trap fused together like that! Won't be in my EOY chart though there's just too many good bjsc entries this year

I knew DeRulo would cause some differing views :kink: 'Wiggle' is my JAM though <3

Thanks UV and Rabbit Froot :cheer:

Shocked to see Air Balloon here tbh! Thought you were very disappointed by it :kink:

I was very disappointed by it for a while, but it had a habit of growing and growing on me *.* the track i go back to most off the album.

I have so much love for TIHWD, it charted so much higher in mine.

FKA Twigs to make an appearance please.

It's very underrated and while i'll scream for 'Walking on Air' forever more, i'm glad she released it. Fab video too.

Ben Khan's "Youth" to win please!!

Will be making an appearance for sure :D

I quite like 'No Enemiesz' too but it's all about 'Hideaway' for me. Shame her album is looking like it's going to flop hard :S

Manboob swag *_* There were a lot of good entries this year, that was one that stuck with me most of the year <3

I've been coming home late night

29. Jhené Aiko - Souled Out

One Last Time / Love Me Harder / Break Free

30. Ariana Grande - My Everything

The Pressure / Promises / Wading

We start the album countdowns with two RnB songstresses. Ariana Grande i either love or hate. The album is full of beautiful moments next to quite throwaway crap. Thankfully there was enough goodness in there for it to warrant a top 30 place (and deny Cher Lloyd a spot oops :kink:). She is best when she is at her most vulnerable; moments like 'One Last Time' and 'Love Me Harder' prove that she is in fact this innocent girl next door, as opposed to the more outlandish moments of 'Problem' or 'Break Free' which while fun, aren't really what make the album so good.

And she is joined by Jhené Aiko, whose album disappointed me if i'm being completely honest. It's made the countdown because i enjoy it, but i held on her a huge pedestal and because of that i cruelly expected so much more from her, which she did not deliver. Unfair on her, but i can only base it on what i want and what i get. Still the album is a delightful, dreamy experience made up of her sultry vocals and gorgeous lyrics. The pint sized diva got overshadowed a fair bit this year by other leading ladies but she's still done enough to just make it here.

Manboob *.* What a tune.

I have to say I quite like Wiggle too, oops  Great to see Ariana in the albums, even if it's way too low. One Last Time is definitely the best thing she's ever released <3

I'm sorry but 'My Everything' really is not an R&B album, nor is Ariana really an R&B artist. :kink:

Great to see that make an appearance though ^_^ jhené... mariah2

terrible so far

but plz continue

My Everything  let's not pretend Love Me Harder is better than Break Free or especially Problem though xx

Hideaway :cheer: Such a good debut tune, I hope she doesn't fade into obscurity now after her two recent commercial flops because she is quite the little growing artist and her tunes are top quality.

6 Words is probably the best single of Wretch's career so I'm glad it put him back on the map, hoping he can build on that with another great track. Don't Go is still lovely and my second favourite of his.

Air Balloon is very good but probably the weakest from Sheezus, undeniably catchy though, a huge earworm.

Ariana album shade ! :o I think it's all killer no filler but each to their own, I agree with Love Me Harder being a huge highlight though, such sensual production with those vocals *-*

I'd say it's my favourite from her too. Demands a single release and she'd be silly not to!

She kinda is though at times. (can't remember which one mariah2 was so not sure if being shady or not ^_^)

Woop @ both~

And not pretending Jseoph. 'tis a well known fact :o

It's between 6 Words and Blackout for me :o both are incredible though!

Not shade :kink: just being overly critical. I do still enjoy it (hence the placing here) but there a few moments i cringe at/ignore throughout it.

Bad romance, turned dreams into an empire

86. Indiana – Solo Dancing

87. Tove Lo - Timebomb

88. Shift K3Y – Touch

89. Mausi - My Friend Has A Swimming Pool

90. Halsey - NEW AMERICANA

Little-known artist, Halsey begins this section, packing a song that really should have been as big as Lorde's 'Royals'. Similar in terms of lyrics and structure, but here we get a lot more passion and emotion. Mausi, following on from their big year for me in 2013 released the most sun-drenched feel-good song of the summer with this oddly titled banger. Shift K3Y scores himself a hit here with the hip-hop-dance 'Touch' aided slightly by my "i know i shouldn't, but i so would" crush for the man. Tove Lo features again, this time with the explosive 'Timebomb' which got me insanely excited for the album before it leaked, and looking back it's still a huge highlight to come off it. And Indiana rounds off the section with a slice of her wonderful, dark, blog-pop.

Through the darkness somehow I survived

81. Madonna - Rebel Heart

82. Taylor Swift - Blank Space

83. Raleigh Ritchie – Bloodsport

84. The Vamps - Last Night

85. Austin Mahone - Secret

A set of two halves. Starting off with the delightfully delicious Austin Mahone whose long awaited... EP (:nocheer:) dropped this year and delivered a cute selection of throwback 90s RnB. 'The Secret' was a highlight for me (beyond 'What About Love' which charted for me last year) and demonstrated that he is capable of musical goodness alongside the aesthetics. The Vamps with their first of two entries ('Wild Heart' unfortunately was too late for last year and too early to make an impact this year oops) enter with 'Last Night' a fun slice cheeky pop from the darling foursome. Should-be-huge Raleigh shows off his dark side in 'Bloodsport' a wonderfully damning song and the song that really got me believing that he could be the next big thing. There is still time~ And the section is rounded off by two songs that have only just shot up in my affections. Taylor is finally on my radar after releasing a wonderful album, and i now vow to check back her other material to see if it lives up here and perhaps my most anticipated album of 2015 comes from this next lady. Madonna has managed to spark a new level of excitement in me, and with this leaked track i am hopeful that she has a lot to offer in the new year. A merging of sounds from 'Music' to 'American Life' with hopefully all the magic that was seemingly lost from the last two albums. I live in hope M.

I don't troll, I make statements

27. Lily Allen – Sheezus

Air Balloon / URL Badman / Hard Out Here

28. Azealia Banks - Broke With Expensive Taste

212 / Yung Rapunxel / Heavy Metal and Reflective

Oh dear where to start with this one. A BIG album in every respect, lyrically it's tongue-in-cheek for the most part but does pack some depth beyond that. Azealia's long awaited project wasn't quite worth the wait but the fun side of it has done enough to warrant a place in my top 30 of the year. The singles that we'd heard before were the best parts of it, so it's a wonder how it took so long to put the rest of it together and finally give it a release. Still the highlights are as fiesty as you'd expect from Ms. Banks and i'm glad we got it eventually if only so she can draw the line under it and start the new project (expected: 2027~).

And another hugely anticipated release that didn't quite live up to expectations came from Lily Allen. 'Sheezus', impackted by King West was on paper a very fun idea, but its execution didn't quite match that. I wasn't keen on the title or concept initially but i did warm to it gradually and it does offer a fair few shining moments, but not quite enough to put it in the same league as her first two albums. Still, it's wonderful to have her back and hopefully it's not such a long wait for the next one.

Sheezus  Not as good an album as It's Not Me, It's You but I never expected it to beat that really. Enjoyable album and cannot wait to see her live a week today :D

Halsey

Have you heard 'Hurricane', I think I prefer it more to 'New Americana'!
