Absolutely incredible sales all round! :o

Wow!! I really miss the days of big Q4 sales but it honestly kinda blows my mind now when you look at album sales for the #1s in 2025 and then look at Chemistry’s sales here and see it entered at #11!

It is kinda a sting that this is their only main release to not have a #10 or above peak attached to it (not counting Beautiful Cause You Love Me here)…

Hoping this re-release has enough fan love to have it get an extra week top 40! I know a lot of stans have high love for this album.

Nowadays, 7k sales is the average for Top 10. For the 26th September, Chemistry needs to score at least 10k sales to do top 10 given that Perrie, Mariah, Olivia Dean and Zara Larsson are running for top 10 . We also need more people to stream and buy the album. We can't rely nowadays to traditional media such as Rolling Stone UK, Capital and NME for this re-issue as they prioritise modern artists and big names but at least there's still Official Charts to promote it. We feel sad why Capital snubbed GA for the new albums for this month but I'm not surprised.

Just a reminder for the data in iTunes, the numbers show the total sales had in the past 24 hours (it is moving cumulative numbers) , not the total number of sales garnered in a week or two days. For example, they will only count the sales from 9 am today to 9 am of next day..

Can we know how many sales had for SOTU and WWTNS reissues? We know that Ten outperformed those two in the overall albums charts. WWTNS peak is 35 and SOTU is 42. Ten has a peak of 30th.

Also Untouchable #11! cry and not that the Music DVD chart is too important but Style is also their only DVD to miss the Top 10 of that chart... at #11!

It's particularly crazy looking back at albums sales like those from 2005 and remembering that this was almost entirely based on the albums only being available on one or two CD formats. No culture of multi-formatting back then!

Although it remains to be seen, I'm not sure that the 26th September release week would see an upswing to 10,000 as a minimum to make the Top 10?

Zara Larsson's previous album sold 5,038 in its first week, and the one prior to that 3,591, so I'm not sure she's really a 10k+ sort of artist - but I would like to be proved wrong, I'd love that for her. I have doubts that Mariah is destined for sales that high either. Her last studio album peaked at #40.

Both Sound of the Underground and What Will the Neighbours Say reissues coincidentally sold 2,925 sales each in their first weeks on sale. If Chemistry is destined for that level of sales, in some weeks in 2025 it's enough for Top 40 and in others it hasn't been. For instance #40 sold 3,099 a couple of weeks back. My gut feeling is that Chemistry won't make the Top 40. I'm not getting the sense that it's destined to do much better than the previous two reissues, as much as I wish it could. When Ten spent a week at #30 in 2024, its sales weren't revealed, but it was likely around 3,500.

I agree , i think it will chart similar enough to both Sound of the Underground and What Will the Neighbours Say reissues but im all for doing far better if it can mange it.

Untouchable completely slipped my mind there but that one did really sting!!

Chemistry being so close to top 10 though! I didn’t realise until reading earlier comments about chart tactics that week of price reductions etc. That’s another chart aspect I miss though!

Just one more week to go until the Chemistry reissue! So excited to hear Naked in the Shower, You Go Too Fast and Watch Me Go (We're Disco). cheeseblock

Is 'Watch Me Go (We're Disco') not already available?

There's potential that it might be a little different - the version coming on the 20th Anniversary track list is 4:19, but what was uploaded to YouTube a few years ago is 4:35!

The number 10 position is around 6400 sales. I hope that Chemistry could get a good run. Until to this date, there's still no pre saves on Spotify, Amazon and Youtube Music.. We need more UK based fans to do streaming.

In an ideal world it would go top 10 this time around but i honestly think it will be closer to the low end of the top 40.

In fairness to 'Untouchable', it wasn't close sales-wise to #10 and after the last single scraping at #10 I wasn't even expecting it to get that high!

Plus they did f*** all to promote it, they just chucked it out and let it die... got what it deserved in that respect.

One performance Dancing on Ice, which I think was a few weeks before the CD came out - crazy!!

So excited for this tomorrow.

Time to dig out the McDonalds music player and Chemistry tour programme as some pre-reading x

Apparently ‘Naked in the Shower’ includes a section that ended up in ‘Wake Me Up’! Don’t think that means it’s a Neighbours track originally, the article does say the track was unfinished and that’s why it included a bit of ‘Wake Me Up’.
