Playing devil's advocate but it might not have fallen as fast if it was #1, given it would have had a lot more exposure from getting there :P (still would have fallen like a brick but maybe not as much, so it's hard to say what the outcome would have been this week if it had got there).

Edit: as Joe said~

I've gotta confess I'm not Union J's biggest fan but I really like 'You Got It All'. It's a good pop record and was worthy of being their highest charting single to date last week (the rest have been forgettable cack). If The Saturdays have sustained a 7 year career with little fanfare album sales wise with a steady fanbase, I don't see why they can't.

None of Union J's singles have even gotten close to silver though. The Saturdays started off with a platinum album that spawned 3 quite big hits all selling between 250 - 350k. I think Union J need to do slightly better to continue. I think 'Carry You' is their best single, still not feeling this one.

Loving You Is Easy  and Carry You  are the best Union J songs :music:

Not really seeing The Saturdays comparison- whose sales have always been half decent, until recently, whereas UJ's sales have been dire.

Obv. not just about sales, but It cant be easy to get promo from a band whose music has a 1 week effective chart lifetime!

I would think there isnt much profit to be seen from the (large) time and effort Sony have put in.

Well it'll be interesting to see if Union J come close to the record drop from #1 on the sales chart as they did get the #1 there :magic: Honestly thought this song would hold up better for them though oops.

The song is getting big radio support as well, #6 track on CompareMyRadio with 5,417 spins.... They seemingly just cant reach outside their relatively small fan base despite everything Sony have tried on this one.

From what I can see though, the UJ fanbase seem to think this is "good/ok" at best. They all seem to prefer other singles in their discography, whilst the people who aren't necessarily fans love this. Streaming is what is letting them down. I honestly think they'd be top 20 on streaming right now. They are NOT Taylor Swift.
Modern Christmas:

76 Leona Lewis One More Sleep

186 Ariana Grande Santa Tell Me

259 Kelly Clarkson Underneath the Tree

439 Justin Bieber Mistletoe

1097 Kelly Clarkson Underneath the Tree

Leona holing up well, though I'd like to have seen it ten places higher at this point. Top 40 looks like it won't happen now - it's quite bizarrely not in the top 200 on Spotify despite getting more airplay and being higher on iTunes than 60% of Christmas songs that are..

Clarko got a play on Radio 1 yesterday  hopefully that continues, a top 200 re-entry would be nice, even though she also deserves a lot better.

Really surprised there's still been no support for Christmas Ariana.

Missing from your update :kink:

Have Union J had any other tv promo slots other than X Factor? Tv promotion is so important for Xmas sales and it seems as if it's the same half a dozen who turn up on everything. You can predict the big Xmas sellers just by looking at the tv schedule.

478. Christopher Lee - Darkest Carols, Faithful Sing

I'm surprised this isn't higher, like in the top 200 already. Reports of this are everywhere atm!

I want UJ to perform on the weekend purely so they can stay perhaps in the top 15 this week. Else they'll be breaking would-be #1 records :(

But they drop like a stone any time of the year ;)

They probs aren't big enough to get a gig on any big evening Tv show tbf. But masses of radio spins haven't stopped the drop, so I'm not convinced anyhows... It's more a problem with boy band limited appeal and overload methinks.

Do you mean was Fleur credited on the song or not? If so, then yes she was credited as a featured vocalist.

Anyway if not, this is the information I found. If you click here you will find the Buzzjack playlist topic from May 1st last year featuring 'One In A Million' on the B list - the following week the song was removed so that was the final week it was playlisted.

Ah cheers I remember that and I also love an old playlist!

...surely you should know by now that all instant grats are able to chart? This changed over a month ago and hasn't exactly gone unmentioned on here. :P

pre-order update

201. Go All Night (feat. Jennifer Hudson) - Gorgon City

Great for Gorgon City & Jennifer Hudson! With Radio 1 A-listing it should keep climbing. Sad to see it hasn't been given much radio support outside BBC Radio Xtra/1. Although Capital Xtra gave a couple spins to a remix. Would love it if the Capital group got on board with this song!

I'm just wondering but with a pre-order in the top 200, does that generally dictate the song will go top 10 on iTunes? I think the song will go top 40, but would love it to go top 20 on the official chart. Sadly streaming will likely hold it back though (it's not in the top 200 spotify chart yet).
