December 12, 201411 yr Although we don't have sales, it's a safe bet to say that both Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith will respectively have passed 4 x Platinum (1.2m) and 3 x Platinum (0.9m) total sales at some point either yesterday or, at the latest, this morning. My guess for sales this week is that Ed will sell about 130k to 150k with Sam on 90k to 100k.
December 12, 201411 yr Bob Geldof must be annoyed that X Factor is stopping him going back to #1 :P Although I think Ed Sheeran will take the #2, so it won't matter. Really hope Oliver Heldens can hold on to top 5, but Take That and Taylor will probably benefit from the weekend effect knocking him down to #6 :( Fairytale Of New York top 10 though :D These Days will probably overtake Last All Night, but I think that Blank Space won't, due to the fact it isn't on streaming.
December 12, 201411 yr ^ Probably on the higher end of that amount for Ed. Sam I think will do +110k. Where are McBusted in albums please?
December 12, 201411 yr liamk97 has just posted the BPI updated certification awards and based on the latest certifications it means that Ed Sheeran sold a minimum of 17k yesterday (to pass 1.2m sales) while Sam Smith sold less than 17.3k yesterday (to stay under 900,000 copies). December 12, 201411 yr There's no way they'd be allowed to do that. You can't just push a single that is a cover of a song that's been released the week before, especially one that's guarenteed to be at least Top 2  Are there rules against this?
December 12, 201411 yr These Days will probably overtake Last All Night, but I think that Blank Space won't, due to the fact it isn't on streaming. Possibly, but I hope it being a new entry (and would have been #1 under different circumstances) and how well Gecko was streamed along with TT's 3rd (?) week I hope it will stay at #4 :D The popularity bars look worrying though  Edited December 12, 201411 yr by SNOWING ADAM
December 12, 201411 yr Looks like Fifth Harmony will get a lowly top 20 entry on Sunday, oh well. I really hope CHVRCHES can hold in the top 40. I'm more worried for George Ezra
December 12, 201411 yr Is All of Me finally out of the top 40 today? No quite... but getting there
December 12, 201411 yr #25   I kinda wish it made #1 so it would've broken the record for biggest drop from #1.
December 12, 201411 yr Haha no obviously, but it's more of a flop than predicted, considering they also appeared on TV. Edited December 12, 201411 yr by chartdj
December 12, 201411 yr McBusted's album charting higher than Union J's in its second week is quite embarrassing for them. Thanks for the position, Martin. :D
December 13, 201411 yr #25  I can't wait to see where it is on the sales chart on Sunday! This is so exciting! Will it beat McFly's "Baby's Coming Back/Transylvania" record for steepest fall from number one on the sales chart?
December 13, 201411 yr Is Blame in the top 40? (Please don't)Calvin Harris? If so, it's (or was yesterday - no mids today!) at number 37.
