Up at number four is the Aussie single Sexy Love. A lot higher than I thought it would end up tbh. Not an instant fave of mine, it did grow on me though, still, not one I go back to often. Typically Kylie, it bops along with a nice beat and decent chorus, but it really is very safe and very Kylie by numbers.

That's my favourite album track on Kiss Me Once, definitely. I'm always a sucker for her cheeky seductive side and the funk guitar is such a nice touch.
My favourite line is "you look so sexy sexy in my head, you look so sexy sexy in my bed". My mind will just turn dirty.

Definitely in my top 3 tracks from KMO, this is such a missed opportunity, this was my instant fave when the album came out

03 | 8.54 | If Only - HS: 11 (Liam, Regina, Calum Hood) 10 (Heezus) LS: 6 (Simon, aeroco) 7 (liamk97)

UBER ballad of the era, If Only ends up top 3 in our countdown. HUZAAHHH! Imagine a hunky Romanian man, in a school uniform, shirt unbuttoned and glistening in sweat.

That is what If Only is to me, perfection in all areas. The disjointed intro, the lush lyrics, the soaring chorus, EVERYTHING is perfect. Totally perfect. There were not many ballads from this era, so that just makes this song more special. It received more 11's than the top 2 songs too, fact fans rejoice.

I do like "If Only" and it has started to grow on me now, a bit. So the top 2 are Into The Blue and Les Sex, ITB will probably win, but Les Sex is my definite fave and will always remain a lost classic

01 | 10.1 | Into The Blue - HS/LS - Everyone gave this a 10 or 11 except Heezus Froot the tasteless bitch. 11's from Mr Aly and Red Blooded Man.

Totally predictable winner really, let's be honest. But we had to have a runner up and in this rate it was Les Sex. Not a song about Kylie experimenting with her sexuality and going all Ellen Degeneres on us, no, it's FRENCH, ooer la la baguette and all that. The first new track besides ITB to be heard before the album, she performed this live at some gig and the world went mad for it. A Kylie by numbers with a bit more sex and oomph to it. The chorus is a bit tame though I feel, I really wanted her to emphasize the SEX in it. A song that works super wll live and in studio form, it could go down as a potential fan fave on tour I think. Not that I have seen it on tour or heard any fan reactions to it.

Our winner is the lead single and only hit from the era, Into The Blue. VERY Kylie, but so loveable too. No real progress from the likes of All The Lovers and I Believe In You with its summery euphoricness running through it. The chorus soars above the clouds y'all, so infectious and joyous. Premiering in January might have been a bit silly, it was perfect for late spring/early Summer really. Follows in the footsteps of Some Kind Of Bliss and Word Is Out of being a lead single to a studio album campaign missing the top 10. It only spent 4 weeks top 40 which is a bit of a disaster, but in this day and age, getting top 20 is an achievement for our gal. Awesome video too, her model friend was hawwwwwt.

'Into The Blue' is definitely the best of the era, it's grown to become a big Kylie favourite of mine. It's just so perfect. The lyrics, the production, the message, the delivery, the larger than life chorus, the strings.

'Les Sex' is a worthy runner up. I'm convinced that song was written about the dark room of a seedy club...

Best top 2 for certain.

Both are major missed opportunities. Les Sex could have been, erm, sexed up a bit more in the chorus but the lyrics are fun and the production engaging. Should have been a single. Fools.

Not surprised, I am not sure how Regina could handle the riot if ITB were not the winner here...

I think Les Sex is overrated. Agree with the winner though and If Only is a gem.
