I reckon it will be enough to reach perhaps #30-#40 in the chart, even though it will be a painful experience for all of us :(

It may re-enter the top 40 on single sales but I reckon it will be kept out the top 40 singles by streaming

Was gonna start a seperate topic but there's no point - what albums are people hoping to pick up in the new year sales - I really want George Ezra & might take a punt at Gorgon City!
Maybe even #1 tbh.

I'm thinking Thinking Out Loud will get a sales boost aswell.

:drama: x as many as I could fit

Yes seems right :D

would also expect Olly Murs to benefit a fair amount with both 'Wrapped Up' and 'Up' sans Wrapped

I'm officially gonna start calling it this

I imagine a lot of the bigger hits of the last few months will benefit from this as always, particularly the Ed Sheeran, Sam Smith and Calvin Harris singles.

"Bang Bang" will climb high and "Money On My Mind" will re-enter next week as they also have the 59p effect on iTunes which is even worse. The release date for Philip George - "Wish You Were Mine" which was meant to be released this Sunday has been pushed back a week most likely due to them not wanting the song to be battered in the charts by the gift card effect

The gift card effect is gonna make next weeks chart stale

The week between Christmas and New Year always was stale.

It looks like we could have more than one new song enter next weeks chart. Last years gift card chart, only Beyoncé was a new entry with "Drunk In Love"

Yeah 2, its hardly breaking news, Cool Kids most likely to miss.

That will most likely make it top 40 on sales

Cool Kids will hopefully rise in the new year when it comes out of xmas on the A list on radio 1 *hopes*
It seems there will only be one new entry on Sunday. It also looks like the dreaded "Anaconda" could re-enter on Sunday. I hope it doesn't
I wonder if Let it go will finally enter the top 10 over a year after its release? I have a feeling it will.

Well it's fallen a lot today so I'm gonna say no :P

A lot of the new decent songs are likely to drop out on Sunday so that the old crap songs can re-enter. The gift card effect always has to slow the chart down. Well done

Looking at Kworb, its basically what you would expect at this time of the year, 4 tracks by Sam Smith, a couple from Ed Sheeran, Taylor, George Ezra, Olly Murs. Nico & Vinz, MAGIC! and a few others having TOTP effect from last night, most surprisingly is Jessie J, as the track is practically top 10 combined. Most of the Christmas tracks have gone, with the exception of Band Aid 30, I expect the track to fall completely from the 40, by the end of the weekend. People seem to be downloading album tracks.

Flutes has gone, so its 1 new entry + re entries on Sunday, at the same point this time last year, nothing new there.

Really hoped it would go Top 10 on iTunes with the gift card effect! Am still hoping it can somehow sneak in officially as it has 2 versions in the iTunes Top 100 and is still doing well on streaming - Will probably end up at #11 again
