After the ~controversy~ over the placement of the 'Uptown Funk' thread that has yet to be resolved it seems, I've placed the album topic in here. It's for the better anyway as its male-dominated. It's out on January 19th (atm) and I cannot wait.

'Feel Right':

'Uptown Funk':

Haven't heard of many of the featured artists on here (only Bruno Mars, Mystikal and Stevie Wonder) but if the first two singles are anything to go by, this should be a very good album.

Feel Right is a real grower!

I'm a little disappointed by the lack of female vocals, but if the tracks are as good as Uptown Funk, they'll more than make up for it.
Excited for more Andrew Wyatt. I love his voice, Miike Snow, and the work that was done with him on the previous album.'You Gave Me Nothing' and 'Somebody to Love Me' are amazing.
So no female hooks/collaborations at all? Hmm. Anyone else think he'll re-release the album, similar to Amy's re-release of 'Back To Black' with all females? Or not bother? (I'm sorry if any of the names are in fact female, but to me they're male names (even though I've never heard of them) except for maybe Keyone?)
It's odd that Jeff Bhasker is featured, as he's primarily a producer. Unless he's providing vocals, but I've never heard him sing on anything. Maybe he's providing additional production? Weird.

VERY excited for this. 'Version' was amazing, so i hope this lives up to that despite the lesser known names involved.

Not sure about the title though..

What a criminal abuse of brackets :drama:

"Daffodils" appeared online shortly after "Uptown Funk", but it's been taking down since. While not up to the same pace/good feel as the two other tracks so far, it was a really decent sound. I hope this can be a decent seller for Ronson anyway and produce a hit past "Uptown Funk", though it doesn't look promising if I'm being honest ("Feel Right" could be a hit, but it's too much like UF).

Just from the featured artists this era looks like it might just do a 'Random Access Memories', with a massive first single but later singles failing to take off.

'Uptown Funk' has taken a bit of time for me but I'm really liking it now.

Ew. I'm so sorry. :(

well i love that (but then i do ADORE tame impala )

also mark ronson is really rather attractive still

Loving all three so far. Album has been pre-ordered, here's hoping the rest delivers and it can sell well (it's sure to sell better than "Record Collection" in any case!)
I am really loving 'Daffodils' so much now  It's got me even more excited for this album if that was possible. High hopes for it being fabulous~

Listen to 'Record Collection' in the meantime then!

i can't say i think much to this record at the moment. i like it to an extent for the andrew wyatt features but then i'd pretty much like anything he were to sing. there are certainly no more hits on there that is for sure, predictions of a daft punk trajectory~

"Uptown Funk" is definitely the only 'hit' on the album, which surprises me - I thought Mark would've been clever and at least anticipated a Bruno Mars feature to do well enough in the US that people over there would look to his album. "Feel Right" has a radio-friendly beat and what not, but it's too similar to UF.

I'll be purchasing the album in any case, "Daffodils" is stunning - think I may even prefer it slightly to UF.
