Just downloading Frozen - Google Play don't make it simple to download an album to your computer, do they?!

I found rather the opposite to be honest, created a Google Play wallet and had "Frozen" downloaded in less than five minutes. Wherever you see something that looks like three dots on top of one another, that's a context-related menu and you should be able to find "download" pretty easily.

I think 2014 was SUPPOSED to be his break-out year, but I think he needed one more BIG collab to cement himself. Sam Smith had Latch and La La La, while Becky Hill has Afterglow and Gecko so she should do well in 2015.

Becky Hill had her first single out a couple of weeks ag:, Losing, but it was flopping, which is sad, because it is an incredible song :(

I saw Losing as more of a buzz single, she'll come back with something bigger I'm sure.

Caution To The Wind was the buzz single, Losing was meant to be the proper single but it flopped :( hopefully she gets on the radio 1 playlist next time and not just the INMWT list

Could race also be a factor? I would rate MNEK, Jacob Banks and Kwabs as talented as Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran and George Erza, yet which group has more support? I think record companies, subconsciously, see them as "safer" options.

Three of my favourite emerging acts

That is a good point though that I hadn't thought of before and it's on a similar note to the post in the Azealia v Azalea thread. It's a great shame and a disapointment if it's true though.

Band Aid 30 have held up really well today, how odd (I'm fairly sure they're actually higher than they were before the gift card effect hit). I guess some people have decided to donate some of their iTunes credit to Band Aid :P

It's 59p so has gotten a big boost from that I think.

Yeah, I know it's 59p but I never expected the gift card effect to have such a positive impact!
I'm guessing 'Let It Go' will climb back into the top 15 at least following the documentary on channel 4.

Really, who watches channel 4 :P

Really? :o It's the perfect example of a song to benefit from it I think!

Yes, because of Ariana xox

(actually true though, all of Ariana's songs have gained a lot)

Who doesn't watch Channel 4? apart from you? there's plenty of top shows on that channel.

Indeed must be the reason, the streams will still push it out of the chart on Sunday I think although the last few days of physical sales could have been decent.

Leona didn't freefall like the other older Xmas hits last yr (or she took until 1st Jan to leave the top 100). Long enough by Xmas song standards in the download era!

Could race also be a factor?

Things have honestly changed a lot in the past couple of years when it comes to race in mainstream music. For example, it used to be rare to see a white person having a hit with an R&B, hip hop or soul song, but in 2013 and 2014 it's become very common (to the point where it almost seems more common for white people to get hits in these genres now).

Channel 4 is the best out of the main 5 channels imo! I also like BBC3 and E4.

I'd put Channel 5 in the "Who watches that?" category. I hardly ever find myself watching it.

Sam Smith performed Stay with Me & George Ezra Blame it on Me on Alan Carr tonight :( too much overexposure for both - whats wrong with Listen to the Man & Like I Can?!

I heard this song for the first time in years recently and I wondered if this has ever been in the top 1500?

I used to think it was "mama" that was being said in the instrumental

Can't tell if this is a joke? It's a great channel - some of the best shows are on there.
