I suppose wel just have to wait and see now, but if the next single is good there is no reason she cant recover from what happened with her ahem second single that never really was. Not everyone can be successful straight away, she works hard and she has done well for a newbie, I mean sax is certified in other countries and her album hasn't done bad either, she's not going to sell millions like adele what pop singer does these days?

I do think she shouldnt be with syco though, shes got more to offer than what they're doing, but then management have to take some blame to.

I agree that she should leave Syco - or her management. Whoever is in charge of choosing the video treatment, the album and single artwork and the single choices needs to be fired. The 'Sax' artwork especially is horrific - it looked like the cover of a independent novelty release from the 90s.

She can recover in the UK if she gets featured on some big singles. But I think she might stand more chance in the US.

Ooh. Great that she did 'Gold Watch'! Looking forward to that performance. But I'm thinking 'Breakfast' could be the new single.

Strange style. To be onest, Fleur has to many expectable songs. The same video colours, identical sound... i hope to change her approach.

According to poster on Popjustice, Fleur isn't listed as an artist on Syco any more - seems like she may have been dropped?

Sad if true, but not surprising. What a waste of potential!

Once again, an example of how Syco are quite clueless now on how they’re managing their artists.

She had lots of potential but they treated her as a one-hit wonder, trying to cash in off the success of her Uptown Funk cover getting to #1 on iTunes and therefore making Sax as omnipresent as possible. Apart from the worst video of modern times. The Sax campaign was brilliant. Then, they just gave up and seemingly got bored.

A really baffling label.

She was finally a chance for the show to have a proper current Over who is marketable, after years of cruise ship karaoke singers making up most of that category... It's ridiculous how they handle a lot of acts, did they think that just pushing Sax to its limit would sell the album well? They visibly "pimped" her on the show, made her journey so obvious and set her up to look like a real star, but as soon as Sax was done they just dropped all interest and made her look like a gimmicky one hit wonder. The album was by no means outstanding but they could have got another hit or two out of it if they just tried.

Absolutely ridiculous. One of the rare artists to come from that show who had it all - the look, she could sing, she could dance.

Baffling if true. The record company have no idea about how music works. If artists were dropped and abandoned at the first sign of a not-so-successful era, we wouldn't have the likes of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Drake, Bieber making music still because they've all suffered slumps in their career. Music isn't just about success, it's about making music for the long run and not just flash-in-the-pan singles that people remember for a few weeks. Really annoying that so many potentially incredible stars are allowed to fade out of view like this.
Syco's destruction of Leona's career is the worst :/ They had a true star who had the potential to have a long and successful career yet messed up royally after her first era and then wrote her off rather then investing in her :(

Jesus christ. 'Sax' was a huge hit and they didn't bother to do a proper second single, what did they think was going to happen?!

I'm assuming the same will happen to Louisa Johnson. So annoying and a waste of talent.

After the handling of Leona Lewis I've not had any faith in Syco. She really was the next Whitney and had the potential to be a huge long term star but instead they focused on other acts and left her follow up stuff way too long and not strong enough. Such a shame.

Tbh I am amazed at how well they have done with Little Mix and did with One Direction...

Not in the least bit surprised by this news if it's true. TBH the last real superstars of any note to come from The X Factor were Little Mix who are now on four albums and are enjoying worldwide success (OK, I will count James Arthur as well if I really have to). As the ratings have continued to fall off a cliff for the show, so too has the long term interest in the majority of the acts that get signed and release stuff after the show.

I wouldn't be surprised if Louisa Johnson and 5 After Midnight get the old 'SyCo and (insert former contestant's name here) have confirmed they have parted company' speech come January. I didn't watch Fleur's series but I did love 'Sax', and it was one of my favourite singles of 2015. But they spent so much time plugging it to hell in the run up to its release - the Asda Christmas adverts, every trailer for the X Factor at that time - it was probably a victim of its own success to the point the public at large didn't want to hear anything else from her.
