1. Hello - if the first-day 400K figure is to be believed, and seeing that this has only had incremental decreases percentage wise, then this must have already surpassed flo rida's 636k, surely?

i'm just more shocked that right round is the current record holder 😶 did I miss something in 09 or
Ikr, I had no interest in the charts in '09 but it's so weird that a throwaway Flo Rida single from '09 could hold on to it for so long especially when you had these hugely hyped records from the big pop girls in the following years.

it's always baffled me how Right Round had such huge first week sales anyway, you wouldn't think Flo Rida would get that huge in the US just off the back of Low (and I guess Elevator/In The Ayer to a lesser extent but those weren't very big hits)
It's because back then US labels used to hold back digital released I think, therefore big songs took a few weeks to be released. It happened lots but Right Round & Boom Boom Pow were probably the last major songs to be released that way until everything went OA/OS
Yeah, I'm almost certain 'Right Round' was held back extensively on iTunes. It's sales look almost unimpressive when you take that into account.

Bieber's debut single took a few weeks to be released, and the video was out before the single!

CMA Effect:

2. Chris Stapleton - "Tennessee Whiskey"

3. Justin Timberlake - "Drink You Away"

5. Little Big Town - "Girl Crush"

6. Chris Stapleton - "Traveller"

8. Thomas Rhett - "Die A Happy Man"

10. Kane Brown - "Last Minute Late Night"

11. Eric Church - "Mr. Misunderstood"

13. Luke Bryan - "Strip It Down"

15. Chris Stapleton - "What Are You Listening To?"

17. Sam Hunt - "Take Your Time"

18. Carrie Underwood - "Smoke Break"

And that's just the top 20.

:o :o :o at Chris, Justin and LBT. I'm so sad Cam didn't perform! :(

41. Dierks Bentley - "Riser"

Probably not enough for the Hot 100 but I can dream. Starting to pick up on airplay anyway so hopefully sooner or later.

Adele is still going extremely strong, the #2 is on 0.26 and #3 is on 0.22. In the UK she already has #3 on 0.57.

And in every other country which has a kworb page bar Japan (of course where she's at 32), Mexico (#2 on 0.76), Norway (#2 on 0.54), Russia (she's at #2 behind the Bond track), Sweden (#2 on 0.63) and Turkey (#2 on 0.60) she is beating #2 by at least 2 times (#2 is less than on 0.5).

It's pretty interesting to see Adele's sales throughout the week compared to the other songs because the only songs that even got past the 0.50 mark with her are Chris Stapleton's "Tennessee Whiskey" and JT's "Drink You Away" and both of them had the CMA effect.

Airplay seems to be keeping her afloat as well.

29. Ariana Grande - Focus

Jesus, this isn't half doing horribly is it? It'll probably do -alright- in the end (i.e. a while in the 11-20 section maybe?) but this really isn't going to recreate 'Problem'. Probably deserved considering how much it wants to do that but I feel bad for Ariana, I enjoyed watching her break through.

It's an absolutely dreadful song (coming from someone who liked 'Problem'!!1), who decided that was a good chorus... not at all surprised its appeal is so far limited to mainly her core fanbase.
I love Ariana and I'm kind of over the song, it doesn't really feel like a hit either... It's a nice enough bop I suppose but the chorus really takes some getting used to and I still find it jarring.
