Biography

Rather than the usual bombast or snooze-inducing "relaxation music," the U.K. six-piece known as Clean Bandit mash classical music and pop forms for an airy and dreamy yet driven sound that's like the chamber music version of house music. The core four-piece of the group were known as the Chatto Quartet, a classically trained string quartet that performed J.S. Bach and cited Jacqueline du Pré as an influence, but their post-show, wind-down music often consisted of garage, two-step, Craig David, and Arcade Fire tracks. The quartet members were aware of both producer Jon Wandeck and MC Ssegamic through the duo's work in photography, and when Wandeck suggested they play on one of his house music cuts, Clean Bandit were born. With MC Ssegamic on the mike, they released the classical-meets-house-meets-hip-hop-meets-heartbreak song "Telephone Banking" in the summer of 2011. Their Dance Armstrong mixtape followed in 2012, while 2013 saw the release of their Mozart's House EP. - iTunes

So, the pick of 31 to 40 was Waves and Ghost. Slim pickings.

Lows - Let it Go and 7/11.

Jameela is entertainingly incompetent.

So who's out of the top 40?
Dana Rayne 'Object Of My Desire' Absolutely used to love this!

Me too! As a 15 year old, I used to literally listen to it over and over and over again, for hours in a row. I still take the occasional listen here and there - can't believe that was a decade ago!

So who's out of the top 40?

34. Pharrell Williams - Happy

37. Ella Henderson - Yours

39. Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz - Prayer In C

40. MAGIC! - Rude

So who's out of the top 40?

Aside from 'Prayer In C' as already confirmed I would assume the dropouts are

'Happy', 'Yours' and 'Rude'

.

EDIT: Beaten to it, so I'll reappropriate this post to say yay at 'Sing' still hanging around :funky: Finally got around to listening to 'x' this week, a pretty strong album on the whole although a couple of notably weaker tracks.
