All of this confusion COULD be avoided by just alphabetising by first name instead but I guess it's too late to suggest that :P

Now that really would annoy me. By that logic, rather a lot of bands would be filed under T. Besides, it surely makes sense for siblings to appear together (as long as they share a surname).

I just ignore leading articles in alphabetising my spreadsheets and whatnot to avoid the bunching up around T. This is also how it works if you alphabetise, say, the iTunes feed.

The Lil Wayne song with Nicki Minaj, Drake and Chris Brown is called Only and not Once. You seem to put it twice with one having the wrong peak and title.

Great work so far. :)

So Matt Johnson's efforts appear under the name The  And the band responsible for the wonderful Endless Art are simply House? That just isn't right.

As for the band A, they must disappear altogether :(

I didn't say I delete the articles, I said I ignore them while alphabetising. (Meanwhile this thread actually DOES delete the articles :P)

Percy Filth's hit was Show Me Your Monkey.

The Josh Wink & Lil Louis hit was called How's Your Evening So Far.

Lil' Mama was born in 1989, not 1924.

Limmie Snell died in 1986 according to Wikipedia.

The Lincoln City FC hit was Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep / Jagged End.

Lisbon Lions' hit was The Best Day Of Our Lives (also The Celtic Chorus were credited according to Polyhex).

Michael Lee (Little Angels) died in 2008.

Little Jackie were vocal/DJ/production.

Little Man Tate's third his was Man I Hate Your Band.

Little Mix were originally Rhythmix.

Dandy Livingstone was born in 1943.

Lloyd's 2008 hit was How We Do It (Around My Way).

Great stuff as usual, though!

Batch 50, and a group dominated by female singers. Jennifer Lopez, Pixie Lott, Louise, Demi Lovato, Lolly & Lorde all appear here

Most weeks by a group in this batch are by the almost-forgotten Loose Ends with top male soloist being Hank Locklin.

Love Affair reached number one, as did Los Lobos & Lord Rockinghams XI, and Lisa Left-Eye Lopes managed it as a featured singer on a Mel C track.

That just leaves dual Eurovision winner Johnny Logan, whose two winning songs made Number 1 and 2, but never made the Top 50 as a performer again.

Jennifer Lopez- I see both versions of Ain't It Funny have the US number-one symbol. The Murder Remix feat. Ja Rule was the one credited as a Hot 100 #1 on Billboard and personally I think it's misleading to assign that symbol to both versions.

Los Del Rio- Macarena should be marked as a US #1, am I right in thinking the Bayside Boys Remix made it a UK hit as opposed to the original?

Lobo's 2nd hit was I'd Love You To Want Me.

"actress" is misspelt in Lindsay Lohan's entry.

Should be Edem Ephraim.

Should be quotes around 'Left-Eye'.

Lost Witness's final hit was Did I Dream (Song To The Siren).

Love Inc who charted in 1991 are a different act.

Should be 'American' in Love Tribe's bio.

Great stuff as usual, though!

The final batch of the L's posted. A smaller batch than usual (as there were only about 70 left to post), and to be honest not a stellar batch. Lulu and Ludacris each have over 175 weeks on chart, but for the next highest total you have to drop down to Kenny Lynch's 59. Slightly further down, and only so low due to the fact that the charts only started in late 1952 (so missing her heyday) is Dame Vera Lynn who is of course still active in her late 90s. Can't see Ellie Goulding still being active at that age!

The Lumineers have 50 weeks, all on the back of a single song ("Ho Hey" if you needed reminding), Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers' star shone for a little while in the 60s and Baz Luhrmann is better known in other fields than for recording "Sunscream" now.

Phil Lynott stepped outside of Thin Lizzy for a short solo career before his death, Lene Lovich was wonderfully quirky, Lynyrd Skynyrd were more US album sellers than UK single sellers and Luvbug's 3rd week this week has put them past Lovebug's 2 weeks.

Note: I am now adding positions 76-100 to my data as per the new shiny OCC archive, but this will take some time, and as that data is incomplete, these threads will still consist only of Top 75 data until I reach Zyntherius at the end of the year. I may therefore occasionally lapse when building these posts and include 76-100 in error, if and when I do so, please let me know.

Further Note(!): Sections H, I and J have been updated to include charts up to and including w/e 28 Feb 2015.

The 1986 version of Shout (Lulu) was a re-recording, not a re-recoding.

Anabella Lwin was the singer with Bow Wow Wow.

John Lydon was not born xx!

Kenny Lynch was born, not birn.

Let The Music (Lift You Up) featured Darlene Lewis, not Darlene Love.

Lovebug, Lovefreekz, Loveland and Lucid should have mentions of each other in the biogs (even if some of them are almost adjacent!), assuming it is the same Mark Hadfield in each.

Other than that, great stuff as usual!
