I love The Saturdays' dance songs tbh :kink:

I though this was their only one, All Fired Up? :o

Anyway, All Fired Up for me was much better than the standard dance pop of 2010 to 2012, fantastic production (and good vocals of course) as I said the synths in it are even a bit reminiscent of trance.

I know this is from 2010 but I am sure you wont mind me posting it. For me this is better than any of the Avicii records and the uncredited vocal from Amanda Wilson (on the Freemasons' first two tracks Love On My Mind and Watchin') is insanely good, I think it is one of the best vocals on a dance track in the 2010s at least.

Yeah I actually think looking back it's one of my faves of his for sure, the vocal melody is one of the best on any dance song & I miss that uplifting euphoric sound he had in his first few tracks - see Levels & Silhouettes of course (although the vocals are a little more downbeat in the latter).

I cant believe I am posting a Will.I.Am song but this one was quite different and was less commercial sounding with the heavy bassline than the rest of them. Easily my favourite will.i.am song.

Livin' Joy are currently playing through my earphones at the moment, so thought I'd share their classics! 5 Top 20 hits *.* (but Deep In You isn't here because it's more of a ballad).

The 'No Limits' of the 2000s. Was this the only rave track in the 2000s?

Oh this actually samples Novy Vs Eniac - Superstar from 1997

Yes Attention.I remember really well because it got played quite a lot on The Box at the time and that video with the woman on the chair I remember too.

This one I remember a lot from The Box too in 2005 despite the fact it didn't chart that highly in the top 40

Remix of a 90s dance tune, which had a lovely vocal but a rather boring piano based house sound imo, so I prefer this remix as this style of synths in dance tracks is something I like as it is so relaxing - similar style of synths in Sunfreakz Counting Down The Days and Cahill's Trippin on You, and more recently Michael Calfan's Nobody Does It Better.

Major Europe-wide hit way back in 1990, bafflingly I don't think it was even released here. Surely a huge UK top 3 smash was missed, hugely 'on-trend' sound for the era given the success of Soul II Soul, Beats International etc.

Dr. Alban would of course finally get a massive (and deserved!) UK hit single two years later.

well this is a bit of a jam that I just discovered.

Was (Not Was) (feat. Madonna & Ozzy Osbourne) - Shake Your Head (Let's Go To Bed)

the above version features Madonna but she refused to let them use her vocal in the end so it was re-recorded with Kim Basinger and made UK #4 in 1992.

Astonishingly the album Now Dance 92 features the unreleased Madonna version of Shake Your Head, but only on the vinyl and cassette versions - the (much inferior) CD version has the normal Kim Basinger radio mix. I think it's the only album in the world to feature it, and god knows how Now acquired it and how they got away with using it!

Just seeing this thread now - so many classics!

I love some of these

Stardust - Music Sounds Better With You

Moloko - Sing It Back

Modjo - Lady (Hear Me Tonight)

Basement Jaxx - Red Alert

York - On The Beach

The last of the 00s eurodance tracks. There where two types of eurodance in the 00s, trancepop and the retro style (like this one), both were cheesy but I prefer the retro type as it was more fun. Anyway dance music shouldn't always be serious and thats why I like 00s dance music, there was a mix of serious and not so serious.

More seriously this 2007 track is fantastic, I don't like most 2007 dance music but this is a rare gem.

I really like this track too from 2007. Excellent chilled summery track which I remember quite a bit from the time, which is unusual as it undeservedly charted low in the top 40.

On The Beach is great, I do like those instrumental trance tracks from 2000 (Sandstorm too).
