It's been predominantly preferred over the original in the clubs~

I've heard it out, its punchier than the original.

Albatraoz back in the 1500 pre's! :cheer:

I hope it builds up more over the weeks so it does well in the chart :teresa:

It is really surprising to see Fergie smashing it considering it hardly peaked well in US.

Also amazed at how well Karen Harding is doing! How did this get such strong support?

Zane Lowe currently playing the title track from the Prodigys new album - "The Day is my Enemy"!!

Christ what a BANGER!!!!

Oh why did I not know this was happening? (Then again 'Nasty' was like the first time I'd ever been aware of a radio premiere and specifically tuned in for it )

Looks like it is being added as an instant grat later today! Be interesting to see where it debuts, the album did get pretty high on pre-orders but didn't stay high for very long (now seems to have stabilised just outside the top 100 though should hopefully climb again with the release of this new track).

And the Moves Like Jagger like luck, Wish You Were Mine , which would've been 3 weeks at #1! :o

Wish you were mine would have only got 2 weeks at #1 as uptown funk would have been released on the 11th originally :)

Even though I am starting to hate uptown funk, I am glad it kept that awful wish you were mine from the top spot

It wasn't even a Hottest Record (Nasty was the week it got released) just a 'World-Wide exclusive as he put it. And he played it 4 times in half an hour  and I'm glad as it deserved it. Think il do something I don't normally do and buy another instant grat from an album. Bet by March il only have to pay 2 quid for the actual album when it's released  (although I'm pretty sure this will be a vinyl purchase too)!!

Zane Lowe normally has radio premieres each week for eg The Vaccines last week was a premiere of their new single.

170. Gravity (feat. Ella Eyre) [Radio Edit] - DJ Fresh

1090. Jealous - Nick Jonas

Ooh! Nice to see DJ Fresh fairly high. I wonder if he could actually manage to get number 1, now that Mark's sales are slowly falling?

And GREAT to see that Nick will be pushing 'Jealous' as his first single! Or did 'Chains' get a release and just flop? 'Chains' is good, but it's not lead single material! 'Jealous' however, is. I wonder if we'll get the Tinashe remix too?

errm.... usually its done in turns

Oh sorry, I guess I didn't really understand the situation, what was your subtitle?

Wish you were mine would have only got 2 weeks at #1 as uptown funk would have been released on the 11th originally :)

I meant the unlucky #2s that would've got #1 behind Ut F, meaning if it never even existed rather than the proposed release changes ;)

I'm so shocked how well Fergie is doing at the moment. When I first heard the song I couldn't believe how bad it was.

Never thought DJ Fresh would get another Number 1 when I first heard Gravity (sounded a fleeting top 5 to me).

I still can't see it getting a #1, as much as I want it too.

I hope it won't even with loads of pre orders - it'll drop fast and was premiered sooo long ago now!

It's good to see some new tracks in the Top 10 this week after a few weeks of the same old, same old.

Also I'm happy that Top Gear has had no effect on 'Thinking Out Loud' and it looks to be sinking now. Ed seriously needs to move on with the next single now.

Also I'm happy to see Steve Harley staying Top 40. Hopefully the BBC will repeat Top Gear at some point this week (they normally do), so it can be Top 40 on Sunday...though streaming will probably stop it from re-entering.

Could Rihanna/Kanye West/Paul McCartney be about to end Mark Ronson's 40 consecutive day stint at No1 on iTunes?!

Longest consecutive runs at No1 on iTunes since March 2006:

52 days - Gnarls Barkley ~ Crazy (2006)

45 days - Rihanna ~ Umbrella (2007)

40 days - Mark Ronson ~ Uptown Funk (2014/15)

36 days - Take That ~ Patience (2006)

35 days - Leona Lewis ~ Bleeding Love (2007)

34 days - Katy Perry ~ I Kissed A Girl (2008)

33 days - Duffy ~ Mercy (2008)

33 days - Kaiser Cheifs ~ Ruby (2007)

31 days - Daft Punk ~ Get Lucky (2013)

strictly speaking Uptown Funk didn't spend 40 consecutive days at #1 as Philip George was #1 for a few hours when the single version was deleted

288. The Day Is My Enemy - The Prodigy

I don't think that's had all the album pre-orders added yet considering some of the obscure stuff that sometimes shows up in the top 100.

Rihanna/Kanye/Paul having a massive update from 0.6182 to 0.7117. Not sure they're going to hit #1 now though as I expect they'll slow down pretty soon.

EDIT:

 174. The Day Is My Enemy - The Prodigy

'Nasty' is also back up to #77 and the album is #73.

True, I've made assumption that the track at #1 @ 23:59 is the #1 for that day~
