Wasn't the purpose of Shirley in that episode the fact that Kat was talking about Zoe which we know that Kat pretended to be Zoe's sister before revealing that she was in fact her mother - which is the exact same situation Shirley has been in with Mick? I assume that was the reason why Shirley was chosen to be in that episode.

Shet episode toneet - they have weird episodes like this from time to time.

 

And aboot sauing SHirley was pointless? Well yeha but it's leek in real life - there is sometimes a person in the group not making a contribution and who gets bored and leaves.

 

It makes sense she was there, swept along by the gravity of the invite, and then leaves when not into it.

You need episodes like this sometimes. If you don't get to know the characters you wont care for them when they have a storyline.

I was wondering that too. They left on good terms in 2005 but I suppose how many times have we heard of Kat going to see her in those ten years?
