Tbf I don't Buster has had much chance yet for his acting ability to be judge too harshly. Plus I don't think there's anything particularly bad about Dean - apart from the fact he should, under any circumstances, be allowed to cry on screen (i.e. when Shirley left him after shooting Phil).

And then the writers would let him get away with it, and some contrived explanation about how the whole square either doesn't know or suddenly forgives him.

Seeing a spoiler picture of Ronnie seeing her baby for the first time next week has made me think that she's been away from him basically the same amount that Kat was away from Tommy when Ronnie took him - I'm guessing this was something planned by DTC rather than just a coincidence.

I loved that line where Sylvie randomly came out with "chips aren't good for the shape, but some of us don't have to worry" when speaking to Cora!

I wanted a bittersweet Cora/Stan marriage but now even if the wedding goes ahead, it doesn't count, so we're not going to get it. Still, I hope my dream of Cora becoming some honourary Carter matriarch comes true. (Although don't get me started on how on earth a vicar turned up at the hospital at all if Stan failed to provide evidence of his divorce but that's a matter for the pedants.)

Shirley has changed so much since the Carters arrived and Wasn't Mick meant to be like, nice? He has just turned into some mouthy 'tough' guy

Tonight's ep was quite a difficult watch. Way too emotional/depressing even for EE standards.

Tina and Nancy are the only Carters I can care about. Mick is hot af tho still. I'd probably like them all really though if they weren't shoved in our faces ALL THE TIME :drama:

 

I agree about tonight's ep though, the two deaths are similar issues so it probably would have been repetitive either way but they could have done Jim's death earlier or left it a bit longer, or killed Stan off earlier. It was too much all in one imo :(

That was heartbreaking to watch. Verrrrrrry depressing.

I'm not sure if I'm meant to, but I feel so sad for Babe! :cry: So many horrible things have been said to her recently!
