Aren't the BBC going to show the first ever episode on the Red Button on Friday?

30 years of Eastenders can't believe it, and only 2 characters left from the very first episode... Dot and Ian. Its going to be a great week, can't wait for the reveal on Thursday, 3 episodes. I should imagine the extra episode was a late move, as football is transmitted tomorrow night.
Sharon was in the first episode too :P

Ian and Sharon appeared in the first episode, Dot joined in July and Martin was born in that same month. If you include Nick Cotton's corpse appearance, that's five 1985 characters, but only two (three) from the first episode.

Oops I forgot about Tracey. She has appeared since the first episode too! :P

Maybe after 30 years, Tracey will get moved up to main cast?

I hope they give her a speaking part, or at least an appearance! I'll be so angry if they don't!
I'd love it if Lauren was wrong about the killer and Tracey actually uncovered it

Emmerdale's exc. producer Kate Oates has said that the Eastenders clashes aren't down to her and that she disagrees with the amount of clashes too:

I'll never understand why the clashes happen when they usually can avoided but it's nice to know the show's producer feels the same.

It will be the ITV controller who ultimately decides the schedule.

^I shall be checking them out!

On 26th February, Sharon will meet

her half-brother Kristopher Hanley, played by Jonathan Broadbent.

Might as well chuck in Vicki (Michelle's daughter) while they are at it.

Speaking of which, I hope Michelle makes a surprise appearance this week!

I still think Jessica Fletcher had a hand in all of this...

What about that Gary Lucy guy? As he;s coming back for the final

According to the EE website, there's meant to be a "familiar face" returning on Wednesday: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b053j3wf

It doesn't seem like they're talking about Christian and Tanya and it can't be about Peggy or Martin either as they return on the Tuesday, so perhaps we're in for a surprise?

Treadwell-Collins insisted that every character is still in the running - appearing to hint that the murderer doesn't necessarily have to be on the official suspect list.

Speaking about the mystery's conclusion, he laughed: "I can't tell anyone at the moment! We've narrowed it down a bit to about 11 people, but it still could be anyone.

"We've been very firm from the beginning that there are twists and turns all the way through this story. So the betting's still on - it could still be literally anyone."

So basically this list of suspects could end up being a load of shit just plucked out of thin air for a bit of promo.
