February 25, 201510 yr I can't believe it! We're all still rewinding and watching it over and over again! I love how the next words in the song are "watch me fall down" and "let me stumble". This is the vital publicity she needs though, 'Living For Love' for #1! :cheer:
February 25, 201510 yr Poor Madge, looked like a nasty fall! Huge well done to her for carrying on though, great job all things considered.
February 25, 201510 yr Shocked. And I don't think it's funny at all, people can be so cruel. Still, she pulled it together. Absolute pro. The rest of the performance was great, I loved the new dance break.
February 25, 201510 yr It's a good thing it happened actually because the rest was a MESS. The singing a little over a backing track thing just made her sound AWFUL and the song really sounded totally empty.
February 25, 201510 yr My initial reaction was sheer disbelief and i really wasn't sure if she was ok or not. Thankfully she pulled it together and then some and considering the other performances, she was easily the most energetic, vibrant and lively even with a nasty fall starting it. A pro as has been said, and I'm also struggling to laugh, partly because i was so invested in her return.

The singing a little over a backing track thing just made her sound AWFUL and the song really sounded totally empty. To be fair there was no way she was going to put 100% effort in considering, I could tell all the way through that she just wanted to leave/die.
February 25, 201510 yr Oh absolutely, you could tell it really shocked her and that explains why she was a little off. It was still shit though.
February 25, 201510 yr poor madge, although it made me laugh initially what w/ it being the last thing i ever expected but props to her for getting up and carrying on as if nothing had happened. not being in any way rude but a woman of her age - that's the last thing anybody should expect someone to do after taking a fall like that.
February 25, 201510 yr Author Oh absolutely, you could tell it really shocked her and that explains why she was a little off. It was still shit though. Yeah, I admit it was, although I found it hard to pay attention just from disbelief! :P
February 25, 201510 yr I feel awful for her. I can't even find it funny even though I want to.But I just feel as though so much must have gone into it and for that to happen must have been so terrible for her. I just need to remind myself that she is a multi-millionair icon. Edited February 25, 201510 yr by Joe.

I just need to remind myself that she is a multi-millionair icon. True, it's not really too much to worry about when she has millions of pounds in the bank, but it's a pretty humiliating experience for any musician and she'll be incredibly upset after the hard work she put into preparing the performance. Perhaps it'll encourage sympathy buys?
February 25, 201510 yr Author You can see a 40 second clip on the BBC News site: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-31634999 Don't know what to think about none the dancers helping her. Were they just being professional too?
February 25, 201510 yr I guess they assumed she'd just get up and carry on! I know what you mean though, it did look a little odd that she wasn't being helped.
February 25, 201510 yr Author Armani hooked me up! My beautiful cape was tied too tight! But nothing can stop me and love really lifted me up! Thanks for your good wishes! I'm fine! #livingforloveFrom Madonna's Facebook. Seems she's not letting it get to her as much as expected, thankfully! I guess they assumed she'd just get up and carry on! I know what you mean though, it did look a little odd that she wasn't being helped. Perhaps if she didn't up straight away, they'd have known to intervene, but yeah, from an audience perspective, my instinct would be to help.
February 25, 201510 yr She's a true trooper and proved why she was the Queen of Pop tonight. I was just so gobsmacked at first, but I started laughing at the irony of it all/the connections it had to the lyrics! It seemed like PERFECT timing  Still loving this song though. I haven't loved a Madge song like this since '4 Minutes'! Also, I'm sure Madge was whispering to them that she was fine or whatever and to carry on. If she needed/wanted the help, I'm sure they would have jumped at the chance (they all hurried around her to start with).
February 25, 201510 yr She did the absolute best she could. After a big fall like that it's tough to get straight back up and dance/sing for another 3 minutes. I imagine if the fall never happened, her vocals and performance would've been much better. I guess they all (dancers and Madonna) just wanted to keep professional and continue as if nothing happened.
February 26, 201510 yr Yeah, dancers/all performers are MEANT to carry on even with mistakes, see left shark at Katy's Superbowl etc, would've looked even messier if everyone crowded round her trying to help her up. Well done to her for carrying on though because there was a moment when she wasn't singing and I was like 'shit is she just gonna stop?' cos it was such a heavy fall.
February 26, 201510 yr That quote from her and her general response has made me love her even more than ever if that is possible :'( What an absolute legend and fighter. Proving why she's been so formidable for the past 3 decades and always able to pick herself up (quite literally this time). Dare i say, i think this accident and performance was needed to silence the 'age critics'.
