You do realise it's an ANTI-religious song?

On the topic of 'Take Me To Church' I saw this the other day, a mash-up of it with O.T. Genasis' 'CoCo'. Works shockingly well

It is? I really thought it was a religious song!

Biography

Born in 1977, Dan Stein, aka DJ Fresh, is one of the most influential figures on the U.K. drum'n'bass scene. Influenced by tapes brought back from illegal raves by older friends, he bought his first turntables in his teens, and while at university, started playing late-night sets on local pirate radio stations. In 1999, as part of the drum'n'bass collective Bad Company, he founded record label BC Recordings and the scene's most popular website, Dogs on Acid. After leaving to pursue a solo career, he remixed tracks for Pet Shop Boys, DJ Shadow, and Apollo 440, and founded the Breakbeat Punk label, which later merged with Adam F's Kaos Recordings to become Breakbeat Kaos. In 2006, he released his debut album, Escape from Planet Monday, and four years later, follow-up Kryptonite produced his first hit single, "Gold Dust," which reached number 24. Building on the commercial success that Kryptonite brought, DJ Fresh released the single Louder, the track - used in a Lucozade advertising campaign - became the first dubstep single to reach the top of the UK singles chart. 2012 saw the release of Fresh’s third studio album, Nextlevelism, which featured collaborations with Rita Ora, Dizzee Rascal and Juliette Lewis. ~ Jon O'Brien, Rovi / iTunes

Charli XCX (born Charlotte Emma Aitchison; 2 August 1992) is an English singer and songwriter.

She released two singles in 2008, "!Franchesckaar!", which is from her commercially unreleased debut album, 14; and "Emelline"/"Art Bitch". She was signed to This Is Music and IAMSOUND Records in 2010 before releasing three more singles, "Stay Away", "Nuclear Seasons" and "You're the One" from her debut EP, You're the One, which was released in June 2012. She wrote and is featured on "I Love It" with Icona Pop and "Fancy" with Iggy Azalea, both of which achieved international success and brought her to international prominence. On 18 August 2014, Charli XCX announced the title of her upcoming second major-label studio album, Sucker, which would be released on 16 December (US). The second single was also premiered on her SoundCloud, titled "Break the Rules". - Wikipedia

It is? I really thought it was a religious song!

The chorus says 'I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies', it's somewhat cynical

HIIIIIIII :hi:
It is? I really thought it was a religious song!

Like Madonna's Like A Prayer :D :P

(If we only check the title of the song) :heehee:

Fashionably late? :kink:

ofc I learned from the best. you going on plug after?

Yes at Bakermat getting picked for the Chartbreaker over DJ Fresh and Charlie XCX :D :cheer:
The chorus says 'I'll worship like a dog at the shrine of your lies', it's somewhat cynical

Well, I never actually looked up the lyrics.

Although I like Bakermat, I'd have preferred for DJ Fresh or Charli XCX to be picked as the chart breaker
No real surprise to see that the last few No1s have been songs released just at the correct time rather than weeks being held back generally!
"Teach Me" as the chartbreaker :o

I was expecting "Gravity", but I can't deny that the Bakermat track is really good.

So was I. However, Teach Me is really good.
