:ne: 758. Il Volo - Grande amore

A 2015 Eurovision entry in the UK iTunes top 1500! :o

I'm sure Luvbug will end up this week at around #18.

It's already slowed down on iTunes. I'm hoping it manages top 10 just for the fact that their next single will be playlisted by Capital again. Should be 59p tbh.

pre-order update

92. King - Years & Years

139. GDFR (feat. Sage the Gemini & Lookas) - Flo Rida

176. I Don't Mind (feat. Juicy J) - Usher

205. They Don't Know (Radio Edit) - Disciples

233. When the Beat Drops Out - Marlon Roudette

235. Make Me Feel Better - Alex Adair

312. Heartbeat Song - Kelly Clarkson

355. Bloodstream - Ed Sheeran & Rudimental

414. Hold My Hand - Jess Glynne

610. Keep Smiling - Bars and Melody

639. Hole in My Heart - Luke Friend

672. Beautiful Me - Dappy

767. So Freakin' Tight - Tough Love

854. Something New - Axwell Λ Ingrosso

1134. Cheerleader (Felix Jaehn Remix Radio Edit) - Omi

1187. Jealous - Nick Jonas

1419. Fade Out Lines (UK Radio Edit) - The Avener & Phoebe Killdeer

GDFR doing remarkably well for something that doesn't sound particularly commercial by his standards.

Usher surprisingly high as well...

The frustrating thing about following 'new music' and the charts simultaneously is that you see why the charts are so stale. Bakermat's "Teach Me" and Mike Mago's "Outlines" - as examples - have been around for months now, so it doesn't surprise me one bit that they are dropping fast out of the T40 meaning long-running hits are just on the climb again. I'm actually quite enjoying the inclusion of streaming (at the moment at least), it separates the bonafide 'hits' from those that just collected months worth of pre-orders.

 26. Imagine Dragons "I Bet My Life" (& #70)

 54. Imagine Dragons "Shots"

 72. Imagine Dragons "Gold"

Good to see the latter two appearing (again?). This whole release was handled very strangely, I'm just hoping the band can get a #1 album out of it and a couple of hits.

Tbf, a lot of these "long-running hits" were held back releases too. Songs like Stay With Me or Bang Bang were premiered almost two months before release - so technically should have been front loaded too.

I think a lot of held-back releases would never get into the top 40 without collecting loads of pre-orders anyway. Take 'Body Language' for example - it was released OA/OS and stayed around the 40-100 mark for ages, but if it was held-back a bit, I'm sure it would have achieved a couple of weeks in the top 40.

Maybe the reason the chart is stale, is because the majority of those who contribute to it (e.g. buy or stream music) don't actively seek out new music?

The whole album is brilliant! I'm so impressed with them and IBML has grown on me immensely these last couple of days. Huge album please!

129. Ariana Grande - One Last Time

Just a few hours after video premiere. Please smash! Best song not only for her, but in a long time <3

Early Charli XCX album effect

7 Charli XCX Doing It (feat. Rita Ora) (and, #210, #1008)

102 Charli XCX Boom Clap (and #140, #312)

144 Charli XCX Break the Rules ( and #439)

307 Charli XCX London Queen

317 Iggy Azalea Fancy (feat. Charli XCX)

333 Charli XCX Breaking Up

922 Iggy Azalea Fancy (feat. Charli XCX)

1259 Charli XCX Need Ur Luv

I wonder if a second week top 10 is possible for 'Doing It' ? Top #100 and top #200 re-entries would be nice for 'Boom Clap' and 'Break The Rules'.

Why are the album charts so slow at updating themselves? Somehow Imagine Dragon are only #03 and Charli XCX is only 14. Charli has been top #60 for the last couple of days and I thought it would be certain she would go straight into the top 10 on iTunes.

Maybe the fact Charli deleted the pre-order she'd had up for months and changed it 4 weeks ago has affected the climb?

A 2015 Eurovision entry in the UK iTunes top 1500! :o

Holy crap :o That must be the earliest one ever. Although technically it's not a Eurovision entry until they shorten it to three minutes :magic:

Quite disappointed with Cheryl's (Only Human) iTunes performance thus far. The single almost never seems to be in the top 1500 :/

Perhaps you need to disregard the official chart and refer to the MTV chart that someone makes up posts on another thread
