OK, that almost total points drought was quite painful but I suppose 22nd and almost 100 points isn't BAD considering my song was predicted to die on it's arse even before the final? :P Think I matched my points for Wolves as well which finished four places higher, so not too bad really! Thanks for all the points guys, being divisive is much better than everyone thinking 'oh it's nice but not good enough for points' and forgetting it before the next contest starts.

 

Oh and great hosting all tonight and to John. Forgot to comment on how great it is to see Persephonia go top 4 <3 (to think I said this would struggle to get through when I first heard it lol) . Phoebe Ryan underperforming a little bit though :'(

I'm over the moon that 'TV' came second :cheer: (which is obviously Desbuanda's highest finish and points total :D)! Thanks again to everyone who voted and it's great to see I'm very much not alone in my love for the song :heart:. I was convinced the hype for it didn't have a lot of substance as it seemed to come from nowhere all of a sudden after the semis (although fair play to Rich for calling it early!) but it's nice to be proven wrong!

 

Very happy that Persephonia and Daehun came top 5 (particularly to see the former outperforming expectations) and great that Terra Di Campioni secured a high finish too. Really love all three of those tracks. :wub:

 

Also, wasn't too keen on the song but congrats to Danaelanda on the long-awaited top 10! Something nice for Dan to wake up to I'm sure. ^_^

Absolutely THRILLED to come fourth, especially as this song seemed like a bit of a risk which I honestly came close to giving up on after its initial negative review from Bal (note to self: never send Bal songs again). Thank you again to all 31 (!) of you who voted for Persephonia this month :wub: And as I said before although it would have been NICE to allow Dawn to go down as a 3rd placer I actually prefer being fourth as it's finally another unique position in the top 10. And 'Avenir' is brill so a very deserved top 3 finisher - two of my top 3 in the overall top 3 :o

 

Congratulations once more to Hushkanukia for a firm victory and also to Desbuanda for setting a great new PB there, plus Jayrusalem picking up where they left off with another top 5, Danaelanda finally making the top 10 and Bellamia also scraping a TRÈS UNEXPECTED second top 10, shame it wasn't with a better song but I have high hopes for your next entry ~

 

All of that bottom three and especially Aquafina should have been FAR higher though! Also Terra Avium but frankly 22nd is much higher than I'd have realistically predicted for them.

For selfish reasons I'm kinda glad Biscuit, Anthem and Mine were only top 20 :kink: 15-20 seems to be about my upper limit (except the anomaly of What I Live For) so I feel a bit better that the songs I was beaten to/decided not to send were in that range or not much higher :lol:

 

Quality wise they should all be top 10 easily <3 I am disgusted at Ida missing it tho :(

Can't even tell you how much I was hoping for a Pvris/Eves top 2! How amazing that it really happened, I've never been more thrilled with a final result :D Congrats Cam on the resounding success, seeing a rock song win BJSC is unreal *.* Also congrats Dan, you deserved top 10 a long time ago but hopefully it was worth the wait :D

 

I'm just gonna claim partial credit for Eves though, having sent her to Unknown Pleasures last year ^_^ She did poorly but at least people have taken to her now! I loved seeing all the Desbuanda hype and didn't want to interfere, but I had to mention it at least once :P. 'TV' is easily my favorite BJSC entry to date.
