March 1, 201511 yr How can a song that has peaked at #4 "get robbed" for top ten? It deserved another week in the top 10 over that crap :P
March 1, 201511 yr James Bay momentarily broke my internet. :( Thrilled for him though, what a triumph of a chart run, great song too.

In 2002, she came to prominence after winning the first season of American Idol, and has since been established as "The Original American Idol". Her debut single, "A Moment Like This", topped the US Billboard Hot 100 and broke the record for the biggest jump to number one in the chart's history; it became the best-selling single of the year in the country.[citation needed] She became the runner-up of World Idol the following year. Clarkson's debut studio album, Thankful (2003), has been certified 2× platinum and sold over 4.5 million copies internationally. Its lead single, "Miss Independent", became an international hit, earning Clarkson her first Grammy nomination. She developed a rock-oriented sound with her second album, Breakaway (2004). It was certified 6× platinum and sold over 15 million copies worldwide, earning Clarkson two Grammy Awards, including one for the hit single "Since U Been Gone". She took full creative direction of her third album, My December (2007). Its lead single, "Never Again", became a top ten hit. Clarkson's fourth album, All I Ever Wanted (2009), became a critical and commercial success. Its worldwide hit single, "My Life Would Suck Without You", surpassed "A Moment Like This" for the biggest leap to number one on a single week in the history of the Billboard Hot 100 Chart from number 97, a record it still holds today. Her fifth album, Stronger (2011), generated international chart-topping singles "Mr. Know It All" and "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", with the latter being the second-best selling American Idol single to date with over four million downloads in the U.S. The album won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album, making Clarkson the first and only artist to win the award twice. In 2012, Clarkson released Greatest Hits – Chapter One; its lead single, "Catch My Breath", is her twenty-fourth entry on the Hot 100 and her eleventh million-selling single. Clarkson has sold over 20 million albums worldwide. In a career spanning over a decade, Clarkson has accumulated ninety-one number ones on the Billboard charts, and eleven number one singles worldwide. She is known for her vocal versatility and range. Her music has mainly dealt with themes of heartbreak, independence, and self-empowerment for women and young teens. Apart from her work in music, Clarkson has also ventured into television and film. Clarkson's film debut was in the romantic musical From Justin to Kelly (2003) and she also appeared in American Dreams as Brenda Lee, in Reba, on The Voice as a guest advisor, on Duets as a mentor and judge. Clarkson's musical work has also gained her numerous accolades, including three Grammy Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, twelve Billboard Music Awards, four American Music Awards and a Women's World Award. In 2012, Clarkson was ranked nineteenth on VH1's list of "100 Greatest Women in Music." In 2013, Clarkson was ranked number 105 on Joel Whitburn's "Top 500 Artists Of All Time," and number 75 on Billboard's "Hot 100: Top 100 Artists." Billboard also ranked Clarkson as the 14th-best-selling artist of the 2000s and one of the top 200 album sellers of the Nielsen SoundScan era at number 187. - Wikipedia Chart history - Top 100 (Year peak title): 2003 06 Miss Independent -1- 2003 35 Low -2- 2005 05 Since U Been Gone -1- 2005 09 Behind These Hazel Eyes -2- 2005 07 Because Of You -3- 2006 21 Walk Away -4- 2006 22 Breakaway -5- 2007 09 Never Again -1- 2009 01 My Life Would Suck Without You -1- 2009 36 I Do Not Hook Up -2- 2009 66 Already Gone -3- 2011 04 Mr. Know It All -1- 2012 08 What Doesn't Kill You (Stronger) -2- 2012 40 Dark Side -3- 2012 51 Catch My Breath -1- 2013 30 Underneath The Tree -1- 2015 07 Heartbeat Song -1- Discussion Thread Here
March 1, 201511 yr "Thank you for playing me" lol because radio 1 are massive Kelly fans :kink: Heard this on Heart the other day and it was actually better than I expected, nowhere near the standard of her older material though.
March 1, 201511 yr I'd rather it be higher, but I'm happy that Kelly still has the power to get top 10 :D
March 1, 201511 yr Not the strongest Kelly track but great to see her back in the Top 10. Love Kelly.
March 1, 201511 yr First time hearing this, I've not liked many Kelly C songs so I don't expect to like this much either but credit to her for still getting top 10 lead singles after so many years, very impressive longevity for a talent show act (especially a non-British one, do any other foreign talent show contestants even come close to her chart history?) This song has reminded me of the rather great song of the same name by The Futureheads. Not that I expect it'll sound like that
March 1, 201511 yr Kelly Clarkson's continued relevance is quite surprising, I thought she'd be considered a has-been by this stage. Anyway 'Heartbeat Song' isn't very good so I would prefer it to have missed the top 10, oops. Outpeaking What Doesn't Kill You too -_-
March 1, 201511 yr Soooo glad Kelly can still manage top 10 singles. Major triumph for her after all this time. The song itself still sounds incredibly basic and I don't think it'll ever grow. But bring on the rest of the era.
March 1, 201511 yr "Well I guess it would be terribly awkward if she didn't like your music." Yes it would!
March 1, 201511 yr This outpeaking What Doesn't Kill You isn't very fair, to be honest. Edited March 1, 201511 yr by Taylor Jago
March 1, 201511 yr Still can't say I am loving 'Heartbeat Song' personally but glad that Kelly is still showing signs of relevance in 2015. She seems like the kind of artist who could lose relevance pretty easily.
