I really hope semi 1 people support you with this. Like I said in another thread, I've been considering sending it but not sure I would've gotten around to it so I'm glad you've done it! The "one eye open and one eye closed" hook really does get stuck in your head haha. Good luck!

So glad that I already have a big fan in you *.* That line is indeed so infectious  damn you random.org for separating us.

Thank you! Hoping this can somehow qualify sans you in the semi.

Just noticed the bronze medal finish for Ilumbarada <3

It was a divisive entry but I'm so glad that the people that liked it really loved it, seems to be racking up the high EOY chart finishes! Lovely write-up.

Some great stuff throughout the top 100 too of course.

Back to 2017 and I'm just nearing the end of Semi 1 and Headless is a definite standout in the semi, an easy Q.

I'm so glad that 'Ilumbarada' attracted loads of high scores too, it really deserved that top 5 placing and stellar TBO success! Was so happy for you <3 Pleased that you liked the write-up and some other songs that appeared here too *.*

Ooh wow do you think so :o Tbh I think I shall be positive and trust your judgement! As I was sure that 'Toccata' wouldn't catch on, but you championed it from the start saying that it would be a standout. Fingers crossed that you'll be right again!

Tearist not left headless in head-to-head!

Today it was quickly announced in Aeroche that we had QUALIFIED for the BJSC 91 final with 'Headless' by Tearist! It was no easy ride however, as our dual partner was Persephonia and we thought we were doomed with this strong opposition. The people of Aeroche were feeling a bit cheeky though, as in a turn of events we were actually BOTH through! So lots of partying can commence in both Jadaphonia nations tonight. We have now matched our highest qualifying streak of 5 (also happening during a run from 81-85) and 'Headless' becomes our 15th qualifier out of a possible 18 to date. So hooray for starting off 2017 on a very good note!

We had to bid farewell to our 6 pointer 'Fiction' by Echos courtesy of Kylienips and 5 pointer 'Tension' by Fred V & Grafix and Metrik feat. Kate Westall, sent by Bhangra. A shame to lose both of them. Bhangra we shall point you in the final for the first time eventually~

Thanks to everyone who voted for 'Headless' in the semi <3 Please do continue to support it in the final.

[/late] nice to sneak an entry into your top 10 of the year (at least you appreciate 'Thelema' xx) and of course hooray for The Shanghai Restoration Project and TWRR's positions too, WD on finishing your EOY in a timely manner x Final count of songs we share in our top 100 is... 44 if I counted correctly, actually a little bit less than I snapped with Terra Avium ;o but plenty of others that were in my 101-150 section.

Yay for kicking off 2017 with a qualifier! Jadaphonia to go 20 for 20 this year pls.

Congrats Jade ...when I first listened to 'Headless', I thought Noga Erez found her twin sister lol, but then the pace changed during the chorus in 'Headless'...still very lovely track and I am glad you Q'ed.

Yay for your presence in my EOY top 10 for two years in a row *.* I shall forever be fond of 'Thelema' and disapprove of it not being the smash that it should have been in my eyes. Glad that The Shanghai Restoration Project was rightfully a smash for you on the other hand, I think your first entry of this year shall be quite the smash too ;) x Haha thank you, I'm so surprised that I actually managed to stick to it! Here's to you finishing yours quicker than I finished mine last year :kink: x Ooh okay then ;o a pretty good figure there in the end!

Here's to 2017 being another nsync year, and a brilliant one for Jadaphonia too. 20/20 here we come. Maybe. x ( Woop <3 WD on qualifying too!)

Thank you Addy  Lmao! I guess both our vocalists have pretty quirky vocal deliveries haha. Really pleased that there is a mutual liking for each other's songs this month! So glad you Qed as well x

I can see why you've sent the updated version of this but I have just looked up the original version and I actually prefer it! I love the gritty lo-fi/industrial feel of it, kind of reminiscent of 'Not Enough Violence' that'll probably just be me though lol. x

Ooh wow :o Well I'm glad that I led you to discover the original too! I am obviously more fond of the version I sent but the original is very good as well, and what their general output sounds like. 'Not Enough Violence' is a good shout! I guess you don't really hear much of that sound in BJSC, was probably a wise move that I sent the version that I did (not that it would've influenced my decision all that much, the witchy sound of the one I sent just appeals to me more).

BJSC 91 Results

Tearist - Headless

http://i.imgur.com/VSGs5Fs.jpg

Tonight the results of the BJSC 91 final were announced in Aeroche! It was revealed that our entry 'Headless' by Tearist came 12th with 216 points. This may have not been quite as high as a lot of the predictions/odds, but considering we thought this could be a DNQ upon sending it, we are pretty happy! Indeed it did come fairly close to DNQing with a 17th place showing in semi 1 (with 53 points) which is our lowest ever result in a semi for a qualifier. So really it did extremely well to finish top 15 in the final. This is our fifth consecutive top 15 result and our eleventh to date. 12th is a unique position for us, previous positions in the 11-15th region were 13th for Last Lynx - 'Curtains' and 14th for FEYNMAN - '1-800MYLOVE'. All in all a decent start to 2017 BJSC. Especially as this entry attracted so many medal positions! Namely an 18 from Bøtanikkä, 15s from Espen, Fljótavík, Flynnonda + Kylienips and 13s from Aeroche and Skall. <3

The winning song this time round was 'Monopoly' by EASYFUN featuring Noonie Bao, courtesy of Ultraviolenceland. A huge congrats to the nation on their debut win! We look forward to jetting off there next month. We were happy enough with this winner after giving it 2 points in semi 1. As for our absolute favourites in the final, Summericia took our 18 with their glorious witch house offering 'still goin' by CRIM3S which smashed all the way to 9th place! This was Summericia's first top 10; we were very pleased to see their best result to date with what we consider to be their best entry. Our 15 this time went to Bøtanikkä (a second time after 'Stanga' in BJSC 89) with 'Dance While You Shoot' by Noga Erez. This was a really refreshing banger and finished in 24th, narrowly beating #00274E on a tie-break. Our 13 went to Persephonia with the gorgeous 'Happy End Of The World' by xi. Just like our personal favourite from them last year ('Thelema' by Øfdream), this finished in an underwhelming 31st. Still, it at least escaped bottom 10 following a scrape through semi final 2!

It was a pleasure being in Aeroche this month and we look forward to unleashing more music on you all next month. All that is left to say is thank you to the following countries who gave us points this month: Aeroche, FSR Rontvia, Summericia, Pupok, Flynnonda, Tartford, Persephonia, Bøtanikkä, Aelandor, Deandria, Cadelicia, Land of DW, Ultraviolenceland, Trifoski, Espen, Fljótavík, Kylienips, BuzzJack Mountain, Skall, Medhelnia, Yehesi, Syndare & Beaverdonia

BJSC 92

SOLDOUT - Do It Again (feat. GOOSE)

Tonight it was revealed in the Ultraviolenceland/Taahino co-hosted entry ceremony that we will be sending 'Do It Again' by SOLDOUT featuring GOOSE to BJSC 92! We usually pride ourselves as being a generally inspired country, so there was much deliberation whether we wanted to self-recycle a previously successful artist (we won by default in the first edition of Worldvision with SOLDOUT's 'To The Ocean'), but in the end we decided that SOLDOUT deserved main contest recognition and this was too much of a jam to deny. The Belgian (our first Belgian artist in a main contest!) electronic group are back with a bit of help from fellow Belgian group GOOSE on production duties. The production is dripping in synths which was always going to appeal to our nation. Then the vocals are mesmerising - particularly when the male and female vocals combine. The whole thing is very infectious as the chorus soon gets lodged in your brain. This was described in the entry ceremony thread as like a Hot Chip song which we can definitely see. Can we repeat the success of SOLDOUT in the spinoff? That may be a stretch, but it would be nice to qualify as this would take us up to our longest qualification streak ever! We have been drawn in slot 30 of semi 2, so please get voting for us semi 2 people.

I had guessed this was gonna be your entry when I saw you posting that you were recycling one of your spinoff artists! As I said in the thread I like this one even more than 'To The Ocean' so hoping for another big hit.

I really didn't expect to actually send it when I showed you it/charted it in my personal chart but I had a change of heart, I can have one month of being a tiny bit cheap right xx Anyway, really glad that you're on board  It was nice to have the usual pressure of will you/won't you like this off with you knowing it beforehand :kink: Rather intrigued for your song!

this song is MASSIV

YASSSS Leww *.*

:snif: this is definitely the most surprising of your DNQs so far eek. Hasss to be one for the Rejects.

I'm honestly stunned by seeing you Dnq with this Jade. I think you'll be a big contender to win rejects already though but IDGI :(

& my 12 gone as well :snif:
