Yass for us doing another top points swap at last xx feels good to properly turn the bloc voting on sometimes. :D (Seriously though 'Gå Der Vinden Blåser' was suuuch a standout in that bunch of songs, really lovely track which could have been a good main contest entry  did a bit better than I thought it would hooray).

Obvz so here for Chip Skylark as well. x

So pleased that you enjoyed this entry so much! I really didn't see it coming at all haha, then again I thought this would completely flop so clearly I was way off the mark in regards to everything about this song :kink: Maybe because I only found it 'nice' on first listen and we're basically music twins. Glad you appreciated its greatness from the word go! And of course yes, 2 years later and we have finally swapped top points again, yassss *.* #blocvoting etc xox

*.* if only we were in the same heat x

YESSSS Cami Li, glad you enjoyed it so much! Did not see top points from you coming so that was a very pleasant surprise!

Shall aim to find more emosh female vocal gems like this and ONUKA at some point.

Buzzjackfestivalen Andra Chansen Results

chip_skylark_by_aurablade-d59af74.png

We did one better than BJFest 2015 by making it to Andra Chansen but sadly a place in the final was not meant to be. Chip Skylark's 'My Shiny Teeth And Me' lost out in a duel against FSR Rontvia's 'Fireman Sam (It's Pontypandemonium)' by Pound Shop Boys. It was 11-9 in Rontvia's favour so things were at least close! Rontvia then went on to beat Bignia-Zaragovina to snatch a spot in the final. They were joined by Fljótavík with Tim Legend - 'Soda City Funk' and Hushkanukia with LIZ - 'When I Rule The World'. We may have not made it through but the Jadakissnian people still give a big thumbs up to those three qualifiers!

Thanks to all who showed support to Chip! It was fun to bring back a childhood favourite.

Next stop... the next main contest! We are already set - delving back into witch house it is *.*

BJSC 96

± KING PLAGUE - Ave Plague ±

BJSC is back in full swing in Medhelnia! We have dipped back into a classic Jadakissnia favourite subgenre ~ witch house of course! It's been a while since we've gone fully spoopy on you guys and we're ready to do it again. King Plague is a female producer from Belarus, so that marks a brand new nationality for us! 'Ave Plague' samples the classique 'Ave Maria' and completely flips it on its head ~ the vocals start out being spookily deep and then morph into female high-pitched vox. Then the production is KILLER, with the bold standard witch house formula and some bleeps and bloops added in places. I hope you guys enjoy our 23rd entry to date! We have been drawn in slot 2 of semi 1... seriously this slot number is following us around like crazy at the moment  after being 2nd in both the Schlagerfest running order and in our BJFest heat.

Also - BJSC 96 marks the first time that we have been recycled! Well... not once, but twice! :o Medhelnia have recycled MssingNo (we sent them to BJSC 88 with 'Scope') and #00274E have recycled ONUKA (who we sent to BJSC 75 with 'Time'). Hooray!

This is beautiful. I already looked at it a few weeks back & the sample works to perfection I think. (Still On a break but this will do pretty well regardless in my bjsc eoy) pleased you sent it anyway!

Aw Rob, Deandria liking my entry last month but not entering teas all over again! :kink: Seriously though, great to hear that it's found a fan in you already! It really does manage to be beautiful despite being spooky at the same time  and I agree that the sample is so genius, maybe it would have done quite well in the Reinvention spinoff!

Looking forward to your next entry whenever you may return!

A late single tear for Chip Skylark missing the final xx

This entry does what it says on the tin really, a witch house remix of Ave Maria, what more can you ask for. *.* (the bleeps and bloops are a nice touch too x) I do remember really liking 'Pestilence' from Lew sending it to me in the past as well.

U wot at King Plague actually being female tho x

If only it had that juicy Beaver 12 xx

Haha quite, standard witch house formula and sample made spooky :kink: and as you say the bleeps and bloops are a cool addition that elevates it further *. x Glad you're a fan and also in my semi! 'Pestilence' is also a pretty good choon.

I know right :o was pretty floored haha x

King Plague royally ascends to the final!

Apologies for the Jadakissnian postal delay this week. It was recently announced in Medhlenia that we qualified for the BJSC 96 final with witch house entry 'Ave Plague' by King Plague! Cheers semi 1 voters for embracing our spooky bleepy-bloopy classical-sampling offering. This is our 19th qualifier to date out of a possible 23 entries and builds our streak back up to 4 in a row! We have been drawn in slot 30 for the grand final.

This time we had to mourn the loss of three of our votes in semi 1. The highest of these was of course the Jadakissnia recycle 'Other' by Onuka and the NAONI Orchestra - it received 8 points from us. Sadly #00274E had to settle for 23rd in the semi for this beauty as they did not submit any votes, which resulted in a deduction. Next was the biggest shock of the semi for us as our 3 pointer courtesy of D'yermak'er crashed out in a poor 30th. We didn't expect 'Words' by HËXË to amass so little points (22 of them) let alone DNQ! Boo. Lastly, our 1 pointer 'Gold' by BROCKHAMPTON also dropped out. This isn't the first time we awarded a ~swag~ Persephonia entry 1 point as 'Kyoto' by Yung Lean scraped into our BJSC 80 votes also, although that would now get waaaay more from us. 'Gold' finished just ahead of Onuka (post-deduction) in 22nd with 36 points, so not too bad a result at all.

BJSC 96 Results

± KING PLAGUE - 'Ave Plague' ±

http://i.imgur.com/RxQoxaH.jpg

The BJSC 96 final results recently took place in Suedeonia! It was announced that our witch house entry 'Ave Plague' by King Plague finished in 17th place with 177 points! We were pleased with this result, especially as we began receiving predictions in the 30s and were actually stuck in that area for a good portion of the results show! This is a 5 place improvement on the performance of our previous entry 'Waves' by Hugar feat. Arnór Dan and is our third top 20 finish of the year (following 12th in BJSC 91 for Tearist's 'Headless' and 3rd for BÖ's 'Waqqaberry' in BJSC 94). We were extremely shocked to see how well 'Ave Plague' performed in semi 1! Jadakissnia were as high as 5th with 95 points! This is our 5th top 5 finish in a semi, after: a win (MssingNo), two 3rds (FEYNMAN and HÆLOS) and a 4th place (BÖ) in addition to this. We're currently mourning the lack of high points from Ajanaeda in the final (they didn't vote) after receiving their semi 12! Cheers to everyone who showed support to 'Ave Plague', especially the following medal positions: 18 from Terra Avium, 15 from Deandria, Espen + Land of DW and a 13 from Suedeonia!

It was a tense night as there was plenty of swapping at the top. However, it was Daehun who won in the end with 'Haide' by Helena Paparizou! A huge congratulations to them, we look forward to heading back to Daehun! They hosted our debut contest so they must have been good if we didn't immediately quit. 2nd place this time was a HUGE favourite of ours - this was Cor Lupus with 'Weekends' by LINES. The group were previous winners under a different moniker with 'People' but are trying to pretend their past isn't a thing (we c u LINES), they're still able to rack up a BJSC hit anyway no matter how their name is stylised. This infectious offering was our bronze medal, the first time Cor Lupus have received a medal position from us. Our silver medal then went to Kluminican Republic with the indie garage delight 'Archangel' by Burial. This was also the first time Klum Rep had received a medal position from us! This was another favourite that finished in the top 10 as it just about scraped in there in 10th (we're jealous of your 10th place - eventually we'll join up those low top 10 finishes!!). Finally our 18 pointer finished just behind Kluminican Republic in 11th (our THIRD 18 pointer this year to finish in 11th ) - this was the spine-tingling cinematic triumph that was 'Looking For The Rain' by UNKLE feat. Mark Lanegan and ESKA, sent by Fljótavík! Good results for our absolute faves.

Thanks to the following for pointing us this month: Avalonia, Bøtanikkä, Persephonia, South Danaelanda, Kluminican Republic, Suedeonia, FSR Rontvia, East Rukahavian, Land of DW, Rolloland, Ojnoj, St. Burbia, Espen, Aeroche, Dobago, Singerpurear, Desbuanda, Terra Avium, Séyetana, Deandria, Tartford), Aelandor, Lotunia + Beaverdonia

MONOMOTION - 'Mango Bay'

Last month we took you on a spooky journey but this time we've gone for entirely different vibes. 'Mango Bay' is just over 5 minutes of ambient house instrumental (well, with faint background "ahhhhhh"s in places) which equates to chillout heaven. This duration also makes it our longest entry of the year so far. MONOMOTION is a French producer on the FAKE MUSIC label, the label that also houses our BJSC 89 artist FEYNMAN behind '1-800MYLOVE'. I would definitely draw comparisons between the two as they're both pretty chilled electronic pieces, although '1-800MYLOVE' was a bit of a wall of sound that chopped and changed, whereas this song has a more calm and slower build-up. I hope semi 2 people can send this to the final as it's absolutely gorgeous. We have been drawn in slot 29!

Well I already know this one from you playing it on plug a few weeks ago as an old potential that you didn't think you were ever gonna send at the time of course. Glad you've pulled it out of the obscurity pile as this is wonderful, the same vibe as FEYNMAN but much more instant for me, sending love from the other semi <3 (doesn't look like a nice semi draw as you've said oops but fingers crossed it can get through still anyway)

Terra Avium continuing to catch up with me on your biggest fans list tho  xx

Haha indeed! That was a fun session pulling old potentials out of the archives. I can't believe I tossed it aside because it sounded so good to my ears again when revisiting it :o fallen in love all over again and I'm glad it was love at first listen for you  it being more instant than FEYNMAN for you is a good sign, relying on some people in my semi liking it more than they liked '1-800MYLOVE' instantly also (Mattias particularly stands out as one of those :kink:) on top of it standing out a bit to scrape through the semi. C'monnnnn.

Omg that race is looking closer than ever after Chez giving me an 18 last month!! :kink: need to blocvote harder clearly ;) xx

Just heard yours now Jade, and it's lush  Here have some hype.

Omg yasss Leonardo cheers for the hype  I was a bit disappointed that you had to leave plug early 'cause I was intrigued to hear your thoughts on 'Mango Bay', glad to see that you've taken to it! Feeling slightly more confident in qualifying after today.

A good month for mutual appreciation as your entry was definitely one of the biggest highlights of semi 2!

Yeah, I wanted to stay to the end, but I had some work to do, glad I caught up though as I really liked yours and a few others of the end/beginning.
