I think they still will, they have easier games than Turkey so will most likely finish 3rd. Might still be a hard opponent they face in the play-off however!

To be honest there might have been a pitch invasion in San Marino the other night. No one would have noticed.

They certainly couldn't have been accused of damaging the pitch.

What a mess Belgium are in right now, they should have strolled this group incredibly comfortably! If they finish third it will be shocking.

I'm guessing Netherlands will have a change of manager soon because their performance has been unacceptable. Holland can only finish third and are currently fourth with two matches to go. I can't believe how well Iceland have performed.

The Dutch have had some dreadful results. Their 3-0 defeat to Turkey follows two defeats to Iceland. Incredibly, Iceland are the first team to do the double over The Netherlands in a qualifying group.

Iceland and Czech Republic have qualified for Euro 2016.

Iceland did make it to the 2014 World Cup play-offs before losing Croatia. An fantastic achievement for Iceland in their 1st major tournament. Also Czech Republic qualifying for their 5th Euros in a row.

Defeat for Scotland tonight and victory for Ireland will no doubt ensure Scotland will finish fourth which is rather devastating. Scotland have started off okay against Germany, two unlucky goals to lose though.

Northern Ireland needing 2 points in their last two games against Greece and Finland to qualify.

I still think Scotland will finish third all we have to do is defeat Poland and Gibratlor what imo is very achievable.

Ireland have Germany and Poland as the final two games which will benefit us.

This is where we watch Gibratlor pick up their first point(s) of the group.

Looks like every country bar Scotland will do so (well at least get into the qualifiers) Ireland now have complete advantage over Scotland with their 4 point lead and a point against Germany/Poland will ensure a playoff place with Scotland hardly likely to beat Poland. Having said that, if both Ireland and Scotland beat Poland then Ireland will get automatic qualification.

Hope Ireland don't qualify, unless they're massively improves from Euro 2012.

Would rather the Welsh and Northern Irish got there. I just have a feeling that England and Wales will be in the same group at the tournament :o

Austria become the fourth team to qualify following a 4-1 win to Sweden. It will be their second appearance at the Euros following being co-hosts back in 2008.

It's a bit of shame that this is not World Cup qualification at stake with the amount of new/unusual teams that have qualified or are on the verge of qualifying.

Yeah, but naturally you'd expect the continental championships to have a wider range of teams than the exclusive World Cup. So new/unusual teams here can get better records in the Euro, get a taste of a big international tournament, and then move on to the World Cup later.

Europe gets so many places at the World Cup anyway that it's quite possible it'll happen for Iceland or Austria in the future if they keep up what they're doing now.

Much harder to qualify for the World Cup from Europe though... only group winners go through automatically and there's normally loafs of tough groups.

The expanded format, and insurance that second place would be enough too, has inspired countries like Iceland, Wales and Austria this time and perhaps made tournament stalwarts like Holland, Sweden and Croatia complacent?
