No because I'd be surprised if it got a proper release, mainly because it's a soundtrack song and the only promo it's really had is the film, and then obviously the positive word of mouth that spreads because of the impact of the song in the film. Madness they've not released it, though if the Soundtrack is #1 then it sort of shows you why.

Similar to the Weeknd recently then, just built up hype through the promotion of the film. I'm sure radio will pick up See You Again soon enough.

Yeh except the Weeknd released in December and it rose gradually as the film promo began and radio thought it was friendly enough to jump on board as well.

pre-order update

This release NEEDS to be brought forward to this Sunday. Still another month until release! :drama:

In regards to 'Cheerleader', the Felix Zimma fake version has disappeared whilst a version by Normanrockx has popped up in the Top 100.

Clearly the label are aware of the demand then. It's just baffling why they're holding it back and potentially missing out on thousands of sales. It's already top 40 on streaming alone and soon the pre-order will be top 40 too. Just crazy.

I cannot justify it either. Like you say, it's got to the point where it being on pre-order means it will actually be losing sales. Like, seriously, what are the record company waiting for?

If the record company are reading Buzzjack, they might get to release it this weekend, it worked for Ellie Goulding after I spouted it

If they had more than one brain cell they would release on Sunday, but you never know with these record labels.

Why is 'American Pie' at 53?

Has Madonna died? :o

;)

Edit. Apparently the lyrics have been sold for 1.2 million according to BBC news.
