By releasing a remixed version of the song which her fans don't have yet?

At least Ed and Sam didn't need to do that...

:kink:

It's already Top 30 combined on iTunes though without the remix, Ed done it and also released a 2 track single on iTunes for 99p to boost sales.

It all looks very glossy and high budget, the first minute before the music kicks in is great because it seems like it's setting up a big storyline, but all it is is Taylor walking through rooms and rooms of celebrities dressed like superheroes. All very "let's throw in lots of celebrities for hype but very little substance behind it". The actual aesthetic of it is impressive but given all the hyping up, it all seems a bit pointless and lacking in... anything actually going on?

X2

I have nooo idea who most these people are so it jusg looks silly. It sets up a massive fight but the storyline IS just the setting up of the dight - like Twilight book 4.

Pointless.

I bet it's just a message to Katy of ha pop allies.

Disappointing or not, it's working. It's currently #19 combined (and that's without the remix even being released here yet), I can fully see this out-peaking Style on Sunday, if streaming isn't too unkind to it.

She seriously needs to get over her streaming tantrum and make her songs available on Spotify etc, again :drama:

I don't particularly like the new remix of Bad Blood but the video is cool. A bit of a non-event with all the names involved but it will do the trick for the song so I can't complain.
I liked it more after watching it again. They were wise to split up her friends in warring factions and to cast perhaps her closest friend as the leader of the enemy faction. They could have easily had it just be Taylor gathering up all her girlfriends to go after one "enemy", which is what it seemed like at first. It's kind of classic Taylor in some ways – take a real-life interpersonal conflict and blow it up completely with absolutely zero subtlety in a song/video (that's not a swipe btw). I mean it's still clear what it's about and it's still passive-aggressive as all hell, but that's the least cynical/most generous thing I can say about it.
The music video feels like a build-up to something which never happened. I like the remix, far better than the original.

I agree with you there, she is so good right now

Initially I hated 'Bad Blood' but the new remix >>>>>>>>>>>

This has Top 20 potential, would like to see Top 10 but it's very US-centric so that's unlikely.

What an absolutely SENSATIONAL video omfg. The choreography, cinematography, style. And how are people saying not much happens it? I can't think of a single video in the past year or so where MORE has happened? Yes there are loads of big profile names that appear for a few seconds, but that's all juxtaposed alongside so much high-octane stuff and they only add to the grandness of it all, surely? If they weren't in the video would that suddenly make it seem as if more was happening? What else were you all expecting?

And the song !! This remixed form <33 I was not a huge fan of the original and it stuck out on the album as being the most annoying but this really works. Completely won over with this though, wow.

What an impact the video has had - Currently #17 and #47 on iTunes despite the remix not being available yet and the album has also gone to #1 on iTunes

THIS!

That video defines 'style over substance', the central 'story' had potential but they ruined it with too many scenes that seemed to be there to just show off the effects/the different celebrities, followed by the 'meet-up' and then...it ends with not even the standard 'final battle'? Unless they're planning a 'sequel', count me disappointed.

The song's a lot better than I remember it being though, even if her input has been drastically reduced.

Wow, this remix is perfect.

Like others are saying, the video seems to building up to something which doesn't really happen but stilll, it's a great video.

The whole thing is so slick and she looks amazing. The best pop star around at the moment for sure.

I need the remix in my life! Why is the UK always one step behind!

The video is indeed like a trailer - but it's only 4 minutes, what can you expect?

As did I, one second just wasn't enough.

She also needed to go and resurrect George too ()
