I'm not sure what's happening - they've been climbing the mids all week yet, even on sales only, they wouldn't be doing that if you look at iTunes.

 

Then there's Pep & Rash who would surely be approaching the Top 5 if streaming was missing.

Yay for Nick - though it'll be close on Sunday. Weekend effect/streaming Vs. Promo. I can see #1 being as close as 1k.

And before anyone asks... Normanrockx is not top 40 -_- this is certainly going to kill Omi's sales, if they don't delete Normanrockx version pretty soon.

Absolute head trip that Nick Jonas is heading to #1 - considering how little an impact him and the rest of the Bros made chart wise at their peak (their tours always did well here I seem to remember but I think 'SOS' was their only top 20 here?) this is huge for him.

 

I mean I preferred what Joe bought out a couple of years back but good on him anyway. Good to see Stevie McCrorie doing well too. Really hope it's the start of sustained success for him.

Yep, which is why they're climbing/staying stable. They've done another signing today, but I still can't see it staying top 40 when streaming is included, especially since they'll probably get a very minimal amount of digital sales this week.

Really hope Nick holds on! Would be such a surprise #1. I was just keeping my fingers crossed for Top 5 before it went on sale.

A little bit of chart trivia, if Nick Jonas does peak at #1 it will be the 500th track going straight in at #1 according to my database, but he was #113 last week in the top 200.

I guess Bars & Melody are becoming the new Reconnected/M.A.D then, except complete lack of streaming will make sure they miss the official top 40 this weekend (thankfully).

At this point people who don't know the artist are seeing it high in the iTunes chart and buying it, thinking it's the real one. I doubt they bother with the reviews.

I guess some people are that desperate to have a version of the song they can listen to at all times that even a fake version is better than having to wait, that's the only reason I can think of
