FourFiveSeconds  #14

American Oxygen  #20 :kink:

HA HA

All her stuff she has released so far from her new album is going down the pan. I still haven't heard American Oxygen, I don't think I want to.

I'm shocked at the underperformance of 'American Oxygen'. Her first two singles went top 10 on iTunes with ease so I don't understand why this one hasn't done the same, especially as it's more accessible than 'Bitch Better Have My Money'.

Maybe Rihanna does need to start being careful now. 'FourFiveSeconds' was very successful but there's a sense of lost momentum since then, I wonder if Rihanna does have any pure pop/dance tracks as I think it might be time to unleash one of them if she does have them. I know I'm writing off 'American Oxygen' very quickly, and I'm personally a big fan of it, but there's no denying the momentum loss at the moment.

Taylor could be about to cement her #1 popstar status if Rihanna can't get her momentum going again and her 'Bad Blood' remix takes off!

765 Tove Lo Talking Body (Clean Love Edit)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a relief to now see this making some sort of progress, though the way they've handled this is extremely frustrating.

Listened to American Oxygen for first time and was pleasantly surprised! :D

It isn't that good but at least much better than the other two.

oops at American Oxygen's underperformance, looks like "Bitch Better Have My Money" has killed the era's momentum, I thought her name alone would put AO in the top 10 at least.

Great boost for Wilkinson. This deserves to match the peak of Dirty Love. Perfect song for a chilled evening and its rare to say that about a Drum & Bass track.

Also, 1,000th post :cheer:

I wouldn't say Bitch Better Hvae My Money killed the momentum at all at least that manged to get top 5 on itunes and number 1 on US itunes.

Markus Feehily just sang acoustic version of Love Is a Drug on The One Show so hopefully that'll give him a bit of a boost

But that was coming off the back of 'Four Five Seconds' when it was riding high in the charts/people downloading it and seeing how it was. ALL hype from FFS has now peaked and it's on it's way down the charts, so AO was never going to be reliant on the success of that. BBHMM wasn't received well so people aren't as willing to download the follow up!

I wouldn't say it wasn't recieved well yes there a lot of people who weren't a fan of the song but there was also A LOT of people (me included) I saw that loved the song I think it appealed to a different type of audience compared to her pop audience. I think with a video BBHMM would do a lot better than what American Oxygen would ever do especially in the US.

Also, "Bitch Better Have My Money" is holding up a lot better than "American Oxygen". The former's sales have stabilized in the top 20 in US iTunes.

Then again, it's a current format-exclusive single so

The classic Turn Me On by Kevin Lyttle is back in the top 100  Must be 59p, it's staying power in clubs is ridiculous, but fully deserved!

Also, Nasty Girl by Notorious B.I.G. is up there too. One of the best house-party songs in my experience. Nelly makes this song though (and the guy who does the chorus).

I'm surprised that 'Treasured Soul' isn't doing better on pre-orders, with only 2 days till release. It sounds like a sure-fire hit to me, but it looks like it'll struggle to go top 10 at this rate.

I think Treasured Soul will probably stall around 15-20 next week even though it deserves to be higher

Having said that Dr Kucho hadn't done that great on pre orders but that's gone top 3 on iTunes so who knows what might happen...

'Treasured Soul' will be lucky to make the top 40 really, its pre-order process doesn't really indicate top 20
