Posted April 13, 201510 yr Pink has no problem with her slight weight gain, despite what her critics are saying. The feisty pop star stepped out on Saturday night in an elegant black dress for the John Wayne 30th Annual Odyssey Ball in Beverly Hills, Calif. While Pink admits that the dress "didn't photograph as well as it did in my iamspamspamami" she also doesn't think she deserves all the negative comments about her size. "I can see that some of you are concerned about me from your comments about my weight," she tweeted on Sunday to her haters. "You're referring to the pictures of me from last night's (Saturday) cancer benefit that I attended to support my dead friend Dr. Maggie DiNome. She was given the Duke Award for her tireless efforts and stellar contributions to the eradication of cancer. But unfortunately, my weight seems much more important to some of you." Pink, who was escorted to the event by her husband Carey Hart, admitted that she thought she looked good. "In fact, I feel beautiful," she continued. "So, my good and concerned peoples, please don’t worry about me (sic). I’m not worried about me. And I’m not worried about you either. I am perfectly fine, perfectly happy, and my healthy, voluptuous and crazy strong body is having some much deserved time off." She jokingly concluded her tweet: "Thanks for your concern. Love, cheesecake." The 35-year-old singer also shared how her family feels about her weight gain. "Willow said to me the other day whilst grabbing my belly -- 'mama-why r u so squishy?' And I said..'b/cuz I'm happy baby,'" she tweeted about her daughter. As for her 39-year-old husband, Pink wrote: "And my hubby says 'it's just more to love baby' (and then I smack his hand off my booty cause we're in a supermarket)." Pink's fans showed their support for the singer's message by tweeting out their own words of encouragement and stories. One message read: "Twitter is better when @Pink is shutting down the haters #trollingthewrongperson." http://www.etonline.com/news/162666_pink_s...ics_on_twitter/ Edited April 13, 201510 yr by troublepink
April 13, 201510 yr I saw the pics of her and didn't even notice  she just looked happy and gorgeous and that was that.
April 13, 201510 yr I also saw the picture of her from the event and she doesn't look all that different from usual, I don't understand why it's an issue to some people, she looks great and very happy in that photo. Even if she had gained weight (not that I think she has at all), it's her body if she's happy with it there should be no problem. She's always been extremely athletic what with her incorporating trapeze routines into her live performances and all so if she wants to chill off from all that exercise then that's fine, she's got a daughter and a husband so probably wants to spend more time with them rather than training all the time, whatever her reasons are it doesn't give people the right to comment negatively on her lifestyle when it has nothing to do with them. Good on Pink for calling them out though, and doing it in such a way that's inspiring to others. The fact she included the part about Willow asking why she was squishy and how she told her it was because she was happy will make a lot of people realise that it's okay to be any size they like, as long as they're happy, I honestly think there needs to be more people like that, if there was there might not be as many people with body image issues. April 13, 201510 yr It's no different to Channing Tatum really. When he's not doing any films that require him to work out, he doesn't and gets a ton of criticism about him being "fat". Either way, I still would. P!nk's enjoying being a Mum and not hanging of roofs so doesn't need to work out, she still looks fab.
April 13, 201510 yr Basically in the eyes of media today, put literally just a couple of pounds (especially if you're a woman) and you're horrendously overweight and deserve criticism for it :drama: It's ridiculous, she is happy and healthy which is what matters. It's her body to feel comfortable with, nobody else's.
April 13, 201510 yr That's the thing about social media these days, it allows everyone in the world a mouthpiece for their vitriol and hatred. Ugh. Edited April 13, 201510 yr by mr_aly
April 13, 201510 yr Author She's always said that she's 'not skinny when not on tour'...but really, fat? if i looked like that and someone called me fat, i'd be happy!! She looks amazing, and happy and healthy. I've put on a bit of weight recently, had a little cry on friday, because my wii fit told me just how much and my BMI.... These Pink tweets have made me feel much better about the whole thing, yes i would still like to get rid of a little bit of weight, but i'm not going to let it get me down any more!
April 13, 201510 yr Like she said, the only person who should be concerned is herself and since she's not, nor should anyone else. The idea that a mother cannot carry a little (barely noticeable) bit of weight at age 35 is insane. Puts in mind the critics who couldn't believe Kate Bush at 56 didn't look as slender as she did when she was 19.
April 15, 201510 yr Both her and Kelly C have absolutely shut down those "fat shamers" as of late! Brilliant for them. People are just disgusting in general tbh.
