Maybe if the time you're not allowed to send entries from is halved?

ie. those in the more than 6 months, less than 12 months group not allowed to enter anything from the last 3 months

those in the more than 12 months less than 24 months not allowed to enter anything from the last 6 months

 

etc.

Oh I agree with this Klum, as This is my 8th contest which leaves me with either 2 or 3 entries to pick from :(

I agree with this, or just set it to 'you can only send from the first half of your entries' (if that makes sense) so you can have the same rule for everyone (except maybe people who joined in the last year or so) and it's not overly restrictive for countries that happened to join just before one of the current boundaries.

 

My planned entry is allowed anyway thankfully but these rules definitely need some tweaking.

I agree, especially because for many people it takes a few contests to be able to know what does well/what does not.

If I have worked out my maths correctly (which I probably haven't as I'm awful at maths)- I have one entry to choose from which flopped and I really hate it so I find that unfair

Maybe cap it at banning anything in the last 20 for people who have been around for 40+ contests. IDK.

If it has been less than 6 months since your debut - You may enter enter any of your previous entries.

 

If it has been more than 6 months since your debut, but less than 9 - You may not enter anything from LXXI onwards

 

If it has been more than 6 months since your debut, but less than 12 - You may not enter anything from LXIX onwards

 

If it has been more than 12 months since your debut, but less than 15 - You may not enter anything from LXVII onwards

 

If it has been more than 12 months since your debut, but less than 18 - You may not enter anything from LXV onwards

 

If it has been more than 12 months since your debut, but less than 21 - You may not enter anything from LXIII onwards

 

If it has been more than 12 months since your debut, but less than 24 - You may not enter anything from LX onwards

 

If it has been more than 24 months since your debut, but less than 27 - You may not enter anything from LVII onwards
