Same happened with GDFR as well. It was on sale for months on iTunes, until it was taken down in early January and put up for pre-order with a March release.

 

Does seem a bit unnecessary tbh. Songs like Lean On and Trouble have recently rose up the chart without a specific release date. That's arguably riskier though, I bet Flo Rida's team want a safe hit.
