The remix is climbing really quickly now - Almost 3 versions in the Top 40 at 12, 39 and 42.... Results like this will not make Taylor want to reverse her Spotify/Streaming decision :(

Her decision to not be on streaming services has precisely fuck all do do with UK Singles Chart success. She's not going to suddenly change her mind any time soon, can people please just get used to this already?

Blank Space and Shake it Off were both high peakers with no streaming (maybe a couple of weeks for Shake It Off???). Style was also a hit, like it or not, it still went silver, and is still selling, it was just robbed of a high peak. Taylor's team are trying to tackle the 'no-streaming' thing with a high profile video/remix and it looks like it's working - a lot of sales will be extra from people who'd usually stream, so it does work to a degree. As Bre said, she won't be changing her mind anytime soon.

Bad Blood now at #11, #19 (Remix) and #39! :o

Once the remix overtakes, I'm sure the other two versions will begin to fall away somewhat.

I didn't say how she does/dosent perform in the UK would change her mind? It's more from a personal point of view (And a chart fan) as I have almost exclusively switched from buying to streaming so as a fan would prefer her and other artists I like to change their stance, As this is a topical subject and chart related I thought this would be the best place to mention it.

Streaming will win eventually however long it takes if artists want to continue their 'commercial' success measured in chart positions to help get Airplay/sell albums etc,

I've pretty much given up on streams affecting some of the real tunes from reaching #1/top 5/10/20/40/100 now and I know it isn't official but I still approve of songs doing well in the sales chart :P

 top 10 :o

Anyhow, the tracks that get released mid week, they will soon suffer once the new release strategy takes effect in 2 months time, I don't think the tracks will enter the top 40 till the following week.

For example a track getting released on a Monday, it will need to make up 3 days in sales, which seems like a tall order with the weekend rush.

But I bet some record companies will still release tracks on a Monday as they have forgotten about the new release strategy for a couple of weeks, until it sinks in.

#10, #15 (Remix) and #38 now

Looks like she's #3 when combined!

I am predicting 12 - 16 this weekend.

"Shake It Off" was helped by streaming until she removed her music from spotify, shortly around the time her album was released

:o I wasn't expecting a TIDAL exclusive video to have such a big impact!

I'm glad there is no physicals, I would hate to ask for a track over the counter called Feeling Myself :( AWKWARD ^_^

Shake it off was only on streaming for like 3 weeks so it wasn't helped much at all :)

It was available to stream during her Top 10 run, no? Then it started plummeting from the Top 10 after it was removed which, out of context, looked quite odd considering its Top 10 stability.

At least will.i.am and co had the decency to call their track Feelin' Myself :kink: (the difference an apostrophe makes :P)
