July 10, 20159 yr I'm buying this so that I can actually find out what most of these songs sound like.
July 10, 20159 yr "Never Let You Go" is like the "Don't Look Back"/"What Kind Of Man" of this compilation tbh
July 10, 20159 yr Ellie leading Disc 1 reminds of when Clean Bandit started off Disc 2 of NOW 88. Shame Britney Spears got the chop :( It wasn't a big hit, but she's a staple of the NOW albums
July 10, 20159 yr Author If the lengths on Wikipedia are to be believed, there is 4 minutes and 15 seconds of space left on disc 2. Even Earned It, a long song, could be squeezed in. There is also 1 minute 27 seconds left on disc 1, though this is assuming that Bloodstream is 5:08. The lengths are true for the songs but not true for the lengths which will actually appear on the album. We'll have to wait till it's up for pre-order on iTunes to see how long the songs are exactly
July 11, 20159 yr I'm surprised Cheerleader isn't track 1 on CD1, that has been easily the most dominant song of the past 4 months. It's only Uptown Funk that has had more success this year than that really.
July 11, 20159 yr I'm buying this so that I can actually find out what most of these songs sound like. Love Me Like You Do, Lean On and Shine are brilliant. Everything else other than a handful are either average or awful. In my humble opinion.
July 11, 20159 yr Love Me Like You Do, Lean On and Shine are brilliant. Everything else other than a handful are either average or awful. In my humble opinion. I know LMLYD, Cheerleader, Lean On, See You Again and that's it. If I've heard anything else, which I will have, I've forgotten how it goes. No Mumford & Sons I notice. Or Brandon Flowers but then he hasn't charted top 40. That's what I've mostly been listening to.
July 11, 20159 yr I will be buying this. There are a number of tracks that it includes which I want. Its a pretty good deal. There are always some tracks you don't like and some you do.
July 12, 20159 yr Author I'm surprised "Never Let You Go" is on here. "Right Here" charted higher but didn't appear on NOW 86 and "Free" and "Powerless" also charted higher but neither appeared on NOW 87
July 12, 20159 yr Why are you all talking about snubbing? Do we now expect all big hits to be on Now albums?
July 12, 20159 yr Why are you all talking about snubbing? Do we now expect all big hits to be on Now albums? There's only one poster who thinks Now are snubbing. The same one who thinks Jenny Fisher just has it in for Rihanna.
July 12, 20159 yr There's only one poster who thinks Now are snubbing. The same one who thinks Jenny Fisher just has it in for Rihanna. Taylor Jago, Dobbo and Hadj are all the same poster? :o
July 12, 20159 yr Taylor Jago, Dobbo and Hadj are all the same poster? :o Are you so sure that they're not? Well, Dobbo probably isn't, but the other two?
July 13, 20159 yr Author Just seen the running times for each song on the album and some have still been butchered, leaving massive gaps on each disc. They should have either all songs in full or include one more song on either disc
July 13, 20159 yr Seriously?! It makes me not want to even buy them anymore with the continued decrease in quality. I guess I'll have to get my random dance hits elsewhere, the pop hits I love I usually buy the artists' albums that they're on anyway. Edit: I actually see the song run times on iTunes, and they don't seem really edited down to me. Edited July 13, 20159 yr by bluesunstorm
July 13, 20159 yr It's like NOW 88 all over again with those unnecessary edits What are you talking about? Now 88 didn't have unnecessary edits (apart for I Wanna Feel). It was Now 89 which was a mess. I would say that Now 90's edits, on the other hand, were very good and gave a great flow to the tracks, instead of having 3 seconds of unnecessary silence.
